It uses source (client-side) deduplication, incremental-always, and a hybrid file-block approach to ensure that each backup is small and that total storage requirements are manageable. The use of Volume Snapshots (VSS) allows consistent backups of system state, in-use files, and databases... 3DBackup provides policies for automatic replication to Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, or other SMB storage available on your network (such as a remote server, NAS or SAN). Replication is efficient, as only changed data is copied, and safe. Data is encrypted in flight, and at rest using AES and a 256bit key (derived from a passphrase supplied by you).
