Anna Friedhoff first joined Stahancyk, Kent & Hook as a law clerk in the summer of 2012. Before working at Stahancyk, Anna interned at the Multnomah County District Attorney's office in the Neighborhood Unit. She spent time in each neighborhood sector working with DAs on issues ranging from gang violence to TriMet violations. While at Oregon Law, Anna served on the leadership for the Moot Court Board and held the position of Senior Editor on the Oregon Review of International Law. She spent her last semester in law school as a client advocate in the Domestic Violence Clinic where she represented victims of abuse and made court appearances in Lane County Circuit Court. Prior to law school, Anna interned in the public sector and for local non-profit organizations. She spent a semester working for Senator Ron Wyden in Washington, DC, a summer at the Democratic Party of Oregon, and another summer with Focus the Nation. Anna became a shareholder at Stahancyk, Kent & Hook in 2019. Before joining Stahancyk, Kent & Hook, Arthur worked at a private law firm in Hillsboro, Oregon, and then for St. Andrew Legal Clinic's Washington County branch office, where he provided legal representation in the areas of domestic relations, adoption, and estate planning. Education Willamette University College of Law Arthur is a former Director and Secretary for the Washington County Bar Association.

Brad F. Miller

Bradford F. Miller began working for Stahancyk, Kent & Hook as a law clerk. While in law school, Brad also worked for a law firm specializing in taxation, estate planning, and business transactions and clerked for the Honorable Dennis Hubel, a federal magistrate judge in Portland. Realizing that his passion lay in family law, Brad returned to Stahancyk, Kent & Hook and continued to work part-time during the school year, through his bar passage. Having learned the value of good planning, Brad was the primary associate for Senior Shareholder Jody Stahancyk, dealing with all matters related to family law and complex asset divorces. Jamie joined Stahancyk, Kent & Hook in June of 2021. A Midwesterner at heart Jamie grew up in Michigan just north of Detroit. She moved across the country from Indiana, where she was a clerk at a general practice firm, working in family law, estate planning, business law, school law, and sports law. She also worked at the Monroe County Public Defender's Office in Indiana and spent a summer interning at Argentina's largest law firm, Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal, working in pharmaceutical law. During law school, Jamie was the Senior Managing Editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. She previously worked in employment immigration.

JOEL J. KENT

Joel Kent founded the Stahancyk, Kent & Hook Central Oregon office in Bend in 1998 and has worked for the firm since 1994. He was elected a shareholder in 1999. Joel is a leading litigator in complex dissolution cases throughout the state of Oregon and successfully represents numerous clients in divorces involving complex financial disputes, business valuation disputes, custody disputes, support modifications, stock disputes, agricultural matters, prenuptial agreements, and post-marital agreements. He has years of experience litigating, mediating, and settling divorces involving business interests and issues of business valuation. Joel travels statewide to accommodate client needs. Education Seattle University School of Law Joel is a member of the Family Law Section of the Oregon State Bar. He has been a member of the Central Oregon Matrimonial Attorneys for the last twelve years and the Inns of Court since 1999. He has served on the Deschutes County Family Law Advisory Committee since 2007. In addition to his love of volleyball, Joel Kent is an ardent golfer and road biker.

Kyle Piro, who became a shareholder at Stahancyk, Kent & Hook in 2019, has extensive experience advising clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law. Kyle is a tireless advocate for his clients, guiding them through some of the most challenging transitions in their lives. Known for his straightforward and responsive approach to representing his clients, Kyle is as successful in litigation as in settlement negotiations. Kyle concentrates his practice in family law, particularly complex and high conflict divorces and custody cases that require creative solutions and fierce advocacy. Kyle is an active member of the Deschutes County Bar Association. He has served as chair of Central Oregon Matrimonial Attorneys, a group of family law attorneys that meets monthly to discuss issues of family law. He also participates in numerous economic and business development forums aimed at increasing Central Oregon's business climate. Kyle is a member of the Advisory Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters Central Oregon and he previously held the title of vice chair. Laurel joined Stahancyk, Kent & Hook in 1999 and was elected a shareholder in 2004. Laurel is a leading litigator in complex custody issues involving lifestyle and mental health issues. She practices dissolution cases throughout the states of Oregon and Washington, successfully representing clients in all matters relating to family law, which can include: divorce, legal separation, domestic partnership in Oregon, modification of spousal support and child support, prenuptial, postnuptial agreements, and cohabitation agreements. Laurel has been a member of the Portland Business Alliance for two decades, and was selected as a member of the Leadership Portland Class of 2004. One of her most rewarding projects during her tenure with Leadership Portland was being selected as a "principal for a day" at Laurelhurst Elementary school.

Lindsey C. Cherpes

Lindsey joined Stahancyk, Kent & Hook in March of 2021 as a Law Clerk while waiting for the results of the February 2021 Oregon Bar Exam and joined as an attorney in June of 2021.In California Lindsey externed for the Honorable Nita L. Stormes at the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and, after law school, clerked for the Honorable Katherine Lucero, the Presiding Judge for the Juvenile Division of the Santa Clara County Superior Court. Lindsey is an active member of the California State Bar and the Oregon State Bar. After passing the California Bar Exam, Lindsey relocated to Astoria, Oregon, to be closer to family.
