Franklin Long Roofing Ltd commenced manufacturing roofing products in 1967. In those early years of manufacture the majority of raw materials were sourced from imported product. Once NZ Steel began producing steel at the Glenbrook site in 1968 Franklin Long Roofing Ltd went onto direct supply from NZ Steel. In 1982 NZ Steel began producing prepainted Colorsteel coil & the company procured its first prepainted product then... In the early years of producing roofing products the company had a staff of 4. Today we employ 10 staff involved in the administration & manufacture of roofing products. In addition to this we employ some 30 individuals as contract installers... We supply only and or install roofing & wall cladding products to every type & design of building from residential dwellings through to commercial warehouses & alike. We have supplied product to large aircraft hangers, large warehouses, architectural designed dwellings etc.
