Culper Investigations Group was founded by president and owner Martin Steiger. He is a licensed and Bonded New York State Private Investigator with over 25 years' experience in both the military and law enforcement communities.A veteran owned and operated company, Culper Investigations Group derives its name from the Culper Spy Ring, an organization which is said to be our nation's first active intelligence agency. Formed and operated by local residents from the North Shore of Long Island, this group gathered information about British Army operations and movements in and around New York. This information proved to be critical in the success of the Continental Army and ultimately in the formation of a new country "United States of America".
