Douglas S. Chan is a veteran attorney with more than 38 years' experience in international and domestic business. He brings a wealth of knowledge and advice to the Alexander Law Group regarding personal injury, product liability and wrongful death cases involving large corporations and other business entities.
Richard (Rich) Robinson is a partner with ALG and provides valuable strategic advice for our firm and to our clients. He is a renowned political consultant who has worked with such luminaries as President Bill Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, the late Senator Ted Kennedy and many others.
Rich has also served in all levels of government, including Deputy Insurance Commissioner for the State of California. His in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry allows our firm a window into the minds of our adversaries.
Rich's abilities have led to successes in other areas, including public affairs, public relations and business consulting. He is often sought to provide political and governmental advice to a diverse number of public agencies and officials.
Rich has a Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Journalism from San Jose State University. He is an active member of the State Bar of California.
In addition, Rich is the author of the novel, The Shadow Candidate and writes a regular weekly column for San Jose Inside, a Metro News Property.

Richard Alexander has earned a reputation for championing the underdog
Alexander has never been afraid to stand up for
Alexander has a long history of being an advocate for women and abused children. As a board member for three years of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, he single-handedly spearheaded a public education project to provide advice for survivors of sexual assault. Fifteen thousand copies of Alexander's work "Rape Crisis: The Victim's Rights" were printed and used by rape crisis centers in Northern California for years as a training tool.
After a distinguished year as county Bar president, Alexander was hailed by one judge as the most outstanding Bar leader in the history of the county. Alexander went on to serve three years on the board of governors of The State Bar of California, where he took on the integration of state Bar committees. "Bar committees were 90 percent men at the time," Alexander says. "When I left, they were 50-50 men and women. A lot of men were upset to be moved aside, but you can't avoid breaking eggs when you are baking a cake." The Commission on Women took note of his dedication, and after 25 years of recognizing women of achievement, the organization selected Alexander as its first "Man of the Year."
Richard Alexander is the Managing Partner of the Alexander Law Group, LLP. He is a nationally recognized personal injury lawyer and consumer protection advocate. Richard has decades of in-depth legal expertise in representing families in wrongful death lawsuits and survivors of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and serious injuries resulting from a wide variety of defective products, toxic chemicals, car, truck, motorcycle and SUV accidents. Richard earned a BA from Ohio Wesleyan University and membership in Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. He was awarded a full-tuition National Honor Scholarship to the prestigious University of Chicago Law School, where he earned his law degree.
