In 1957, my grandmother traveled around the world by herself via freighters, planes, trains, and buses to places I have yet to visit. It was the photos that she took during this trip, which she shared with me countless times, that inspired me to become a photographer. When I was nine, she gave me my first camera and I was hooked. Photography is the place I go after a week of stressful work to center myself and explore my creative side - it is my form of meditation. I feel so fortunate to be living here in the Pacific Northwest with such a diverse ecosystem and everlasting beauty. I am forever attempting to improve my craft, always looking for just the right shot. In a similar fashion, photography is not that different from discovering the perfect quad espresso…enjoy.
