Elmelda K Mogoi

Job Titles:

Ms. Mogoi holds a Master of Arts degree in International Studies (Development Cooperation) from Ewha Woman's University, South Korea, Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Peace, Cohesion and Integration Studies from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. In addition, she has attended various seminars and workshops on leadership including Senior Management Course and Strategic Leadership Development Programme at the Kenya School of Government. Other courses attended include Global Transformational Leadership Course for Women's Empowerment (Kenya-DLC), Professional Leadership Course (Ewha Woman's University, South Korea) and several trainer of trainers' courses. She is a certified international trainer under the Active Citizen's Programme of the British Council. She joined the Public Service in 1997 as an Adult Education Officer and served as a District Adult Education Officer for eight years in various Districts including Bomet, Kisii and Thika. Ms. Mogoi joined the Directorate of National Cohesion and Values in October, 2009 as a Chief Cohesion Officer. She was appointed Assistant Director, National Cohesion and Values in July, 2021.

Mr. Ambrose Biketi

Mr. Biketi holds a M.Phil. degree in Guidance and Counselling from Moi University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Peace, Cohesion and Integration Studies from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He has attended the Strategic Leadership Development Programme and Senior Management Course at the Kenya School of Government. He is a certified International Trainer under the Active Citizens Programme of the British Council. He joined the public service in 1996 as a High School teacher in West Pokot County and later taught in various schools in Vihiga County. He joined the Directorate at its inception in 2009 as a Chief Cohesion Officer in the then Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs. Mr. Biketi worked as a Principal Cohesion Officer between 2016 and 2021 when he was appointed Assistant Director, National Cohesion and Values. He has been involved in the development and implementation of national cohesion and values policies, programmes and activities.

Mr. Edward Nyongesa Wafula

Mr. Wafula holds a M.ED degree in Educational Management and Policy Studies, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Peace, Cohesion and Integration Studies from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology. He has attended the Strategic Leadership Development Programme and other senior management courses at the Kenya School of Government. He is a certified International Trainer under the Active Citizens Programme of the British Council. He joined the public service in 1992 as a High School teacher in Vihiga County and later taught in various schools in Bungoma County. He joined the Directorate at its inception in 2009 as a Principal Cohesion Officer in the then Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs. Mr. Wafula worked as an Assistant Director, National Cohesion & Values between 2016 and 2021 when he was appointed Deputy Director. He has been extensively involved in the design, coordination and implementation of national cohesion and values policies, programmes and activities.

Mr. Josiah K. Musili

Mr. Musili holds a Master of Arts degree in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent at Canterbury (UK), Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Nairobi and a Certificate in Migration Management from the University of Sussex (UK). He is a Chevening scholar (2009/2010) - University of Sussex (UK) and an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of the United States Department of State. In addition he has attended various seminars and workshops both locally and abroad on security, public administration and migration management including at the Kenya School of Government, the Free University of Brussels (Belgium), the Galilee International Management Institute (Israel) and the International Labor Organization (ILO) Institute (Italy). He joined the Public Service in 1992 as an Immigration Officer and served at various sections and stations of the Department of Immigration Services including as: Head of Coast Region, Head of Investigations and Prosecutions; and Immigration Attaché at the Kenyan Embassy and Mission to the European Union (EU) in Belgium. Mr. Musili joined the Directorate in July, 2014 and was appointed Director in December 2018. He was appointed Secretary, National Cohesion and Values in February, 2020.

Mr. Peter K. Mose

Job Titles:

Mr. Mose holds a Masters Degree in Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi specializing in Organizational Development, Corporate Governance and Strategic Change Management and a Bachelors' Degree in Political Science from the University of Nairobi majoring in Public Administration, International Relations and Development Economics. He also holds a diploma in Project Management, a Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation of Programmes and Projects, a diploma in Law Enforcement from the USA International Law Enforcement Academy (Botswana) and a certificate in National Security and Policy Management from Galillee International Management Institute (Israel). He has attended the Strategic Leadership Development Programme and other Senior Management Courses at the Kenya School of Government and is a certified Trainer from the Kenya School of Government. Mr. Mose joined the Public Service in 1994 as an Immigration Officer, rising through the ranks to an Assistant Director and has served in the Kenya Foreign Service as a First Secretary Consular and Trade and Investment at the Kenya Embassy in Japan. He joined the Directorate in 2014 as an Assistant Director, National Cohesion and Values and was appointed to the position of Deputy Director in 2020. Mr. Mose has been instrumental in developing, coordinating, reviewing and implementing national cohesion and values, policies, programmes, projects, reports and activities.
