M DANCE STUDIO - Key Persons

Martin Nikolov first stepped out on the dance floor at the age of 9. He began as a competitor representing Bulgaria and later relocated to the United Kingdom. There, he represented the United Kingdom and made his first appearance at the famous Blackpool Dance Festival. While continuing his training, Martin moved to St. Petersburg, Russia to compete with his dance partner, Liana Churilova (current World American Rhythm Champion), the two dominated the podiums and were one of the top 3 couples in Russia. While still performing, Martin furthered his teaching career by coaching students in Bulgaria and opened "M Dance Studio". As the director/owner, he coached many, very successful couples who won numerous competitions throughout Europe. Many of his students were invited to perform and compete in popular television shows such as VIP Dance and Dancing With The Stars. In May 2010, Martin Nikolov received an invitation from Igor and Irina Suvorov to be a member of The Desert Classic DanceSport Championship, one of the largest global events organized in USA. This opportunity lead Martin to permanently relocate to the United States. Martin continued his development in the Ballroom community and earned certifications from World Dance Council (WDC) for Professional Dance Teacher in Latin-American/Ballroom Dance Branch as well as his adjudicator certification. Martin was offered the opportunity to teach at Fred Astaire Dance Studios where he achieved certifications with the highest scores and lead his students to win numerous competitions. While teaching in the U.S., Martin Nikolov also became a registered member of the National Dance Council of America (NDCA) as a Professional Competitor and Certified Dance Teacher.
