Dr Sam Abbaszadeh

Sam is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (As awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2017), Fellow of College of Physiotherapy and Faculty staff member of Manual Concepts, International Lecturer and Consultant in the field of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Under the Australian Physiotherapy Association Clinical Pathway, Sam is considered an expert in his field. Consequently, he has been providing second opinion assessment and management to clients for many years. He has a special interest in treating radiculopathy pain. Example of these presentations would be pain radiating down the arm or the leg ("Sciatica). He also enjoys working with surgeons to exhaust the conservative options before consideration of surgery. Sam also has experience with different sporting individuals at both State, National, International and Olympic level. Sam is a passionate physiotherapist and teacher who can explain complex diagnosis and management in a simple and practical manner.

Holly Fagan

Holly is a APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, having completed her bachelor of Physiotherapy from The University of Notre Dame Australia and Masters of Clinical Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) at Curtin University. She has also completed her certificate in Orthopaedic Manual therapy through Manual concepts. As well as being a clinical practitioner, Holly is also involved in teaching at the University of Notre Dame physiotherapy course. Holly currently trains and competes in weightlifting and has competed interstate and internationally as a member of the Western Australian Athletics team for 800m, 1500m and cross country events. She has a keen interest in working with runners, weightlifters and enjoys taking the time to listen to a patients story providing a clear diagnosis, treatment and exercise plan tailored to the individuals needs. Holly is passionate about a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring the individual feels informed about all factors unique to their presentation. Josh Chuah

Josh graduated from Curtin University with a BSc in Physiotherapy and then continued to complete his Masters in Clinical Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal). Prior to physiotherapy, he worked as a personal trainer, obtaining vast experience in the health and fitness industry. Josh has developed a strong passion for treating a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders, particularly lower back pain, shoulder and knee disorders, and complex sporting injuries especially in barbell sport athletes. He is particularly passionate about treating not only his patients' presenting symptoms, but addressing the underlying cause itself, optimising longevity by preventing future reoccurrence of the injury. Josh's interest in pain science, background in strength & conditioning, as well as having a background of being a competitive bodybuilder, powerlifter and wrestler, this has allowed him to gain extensive experience both as an athlete and as a therapist. Having experienced first-hand the frustrations of injuries, he has developed a deep understanding of both the physical and mental aspect of overcoming injury. As a result, Josh strives to provide the best standard of care to all his patients with up-to-date evidence-based treatments, with a significant focus on empowering patients to achieve their personal goals and the best quality of life. In addition to clinical physiotherapy, Josh is also a clinical supervisor at the School of Physiotherapy for Curtin University Post-graduate Masters course. Outside of work, Josh is an avid freestyle wrestler and have previously competed in powerlifting at a national level in 83kg weight class. Stephen Zucal

During his 25 years Stephen has done all facets of Podiatry including soft tissue Surgical procedures,Sports Podiatry and Musculoskeletal disorders. For many years he attended as consulting Podiatrist to St John of God Hospital Subiaco Convent and the Cerebral Palsy at The David Brand Centre. In 1995 he purchased the F Scan computer gait analysis system. This was the first in Australia to be utilised for clinical assessment and research of biomechanics and foot dysfunction. In his spare time he is a passionate Martial Artist who has competed in Karate, Boxing, Brazilian Jui jitsu and has found a new love in learning Olympic Wrestling.

Tak Cheng

Tak is a APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and a Member of Australian Physiotherapy Association (APAM) and Australian College of Physiotherapists (MACP). He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy with 1st Class Honours from The University of Notre Dame, Australia. Tak has also completed his post-graduate Masters in Clinical Physiotherapy (Musculoskeletal) at Curtin University and the post-graduate Certificate of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy through Manual Concepts. In addition to clinical physiotherapy, Tak is also a clinical tutor at the School of Physiotherapy Notre Dame Under-graduate course and Curtin University Post-graduate Masters course. In his free time, Tak is an avid powerlifter and gym enthusiast with a strong interest in coaching individuals to achieve their short and long-term goals, based on a clear diagnosis and rehabilitation plan. Having been a competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter Tak understands the needs of an athlete on a personal level and the importance of working together with other allied health and fitness professionals to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.

Vinicius Fernandez-Martini

Vinicius has a deep love of life and learning which has led him to study a variety of fields - ranging from the Physical Sciences of Engineering through to the Humanities within Commerce - achieving a bachelor's degree from the University of Western Australian in both. His background and curiosity towards the human body ultimately led him into Physiotherapy where he achieved a Masters in the field from Curtin University. His interests also stem into the subjects of philosophy, psychology, and models of human learning, along with anything else that will help to elucidate our understanding of the relationship between the mind and body. His belief is that in better understanding the history, mindset, and belief systems we hold, we become better equipped to approach the challenges and limitations we face on a daily basis. Throughout his journey to delve deeper into understanding the human experience he has travelled extensively around the world to study in many locations, ranging from Consciousness in North America to Movement in Thailand, Portugal, and Germany. He has worked within the health and fitness industry for over 10 years, running his own functional training gym as well as teaching in fields ranging from dance to martial arts, olympic weightlifting to gymnastics, as well as high intensity training and functional movement. He practices daily in a variety of fields including dance and martial arts, where he holds a black belt in Japanese Jujutsu, as well as actively practicing Judo and Brazilian Jujutsu. He also maintains a personal movement practice which touches on a broad range of elements within human physicality that are not limited to any specific discipline and oftentimes neglected. He has culminated his knowledge in what he now shares as a general movement perspective, teaching weekly sessions dedicated to human movement for people of all ages designed to educate and improve the relationship one has with their body in day-to-day life. A philosopher at heart, Vinicius loves to spend some time each day with a good cup of coffee or tea and a book in hand. He approaches life with a sense of humour and a lightness that will almost always bring a laugh to any interaction and is occasionally known to pick up a guitar and sing.
