Adrian Whitfield

Adrian is an Industrial and Logistics expert with over 30 years commercial property experience on the South Coast. He joined Realest in January 2020 having spent 13 years at Lambert Smith Hampton. Prior to this, he held posts at Young & Butt, Holland Mitchell, Austin Adams and Hall Pain & Foster. Adrian combines market knowledge, professional experience and detailed local insight to provide a Director led service with an entrepreneurial approach. His key skills are in industrial development and agency where he works with both national and local clients to provide optimum outcome and maximise value. Whilst offering investment and pre-acquisition advice, Adrian also provides an asset management value added service. He has worked for both landlords and occupiers; acting for institutional funds, private property companies, developers, investors and occupiers. Adrian prides himself on being fresh and forward thinking to stay ahead of the game, consolidating his experience, sector expertise and market dynamic knowledge to provide clever, skillful and innovative strategies to deliver impressive, professional results that are different to the norm.

David Ferriman

David joined Realest in 2015 from Senior Director positions at BNP Paribas Real Estate, Atisreal and Chesterton. He has a solid track record in devising cost effective strategies, creating value for clients and providing integrated solutions.

Guy Jones

Job Titles:
  • Director - Lease Advisory
Guy is a leading landlord and tenant specialist serving the south coast and beyond. He provides Lease Advisory, Consultancy and Corporate Real Estate services to a wide variety of local and national clients and has an excellent reputation for technical expertise and providing client focused advice. A key strength is his multi-disciplinary approach to optimise results for clients. He provides professional services to a wide range of local and national clients, acting on their behalf in rent reviews, lease renewals, the operation of break clauses, and the negotiation of lease surrenders and restructures. He has extensive experience in acting as an expert witness in dispute resolution procedures, with a proven track record at arbitration/expert determination, Court and PACT. Guy joined Realest in 2020 from Hellier Langston where he was an Equity Director and Professional Services lead. Prior to that he was a Director in the Professional Services department at BNP Paribas Real Estate which he joined from CBRE. Guy is a keen swimmer, cyclist and traveller, although his young family tends to take up most of his time! Guy Jones joins the business from Hellier Langston as an expansion to the Lease Advisory department

Joanne North

Joanne has a background in various business sectors over 20 years; start up, SME, corporate and public sector. Over half of this time has been spent in commercial property, including at BNP Paribas Real Estate before joining Realest in 2015. As Head of Operations, Joanne provides operational and management support, improving processes and efficiency. With responsibility for the day to day running of the business, she specialises in financial processes, personnel, compliance, quality management and reporting. In addition, she provides research and marketing support to the team. Joanne enjoys gin and chocolate and thankfully HIIT and strength exercise to burn it all off! She is most happy being by the sea.

Lauren Udall

Lauren is a commercial agent who has over 10 years of experience dealing with cross sector property, including industrial and logistics, office space and development land. Lauren provides transactional and asset management advice on commercial property and land on behalf of a variety of national and local clients including private land and property owners, occupiers, commercial and residential developers, investors and solicitors. She joined Realest in March 2025 from Keygrove Chartered Surveyors where she was head of the Agency team. Lauren had previously worked for DTZ in London. Lauren provides practical and strategic advice to provide clients with the best value solutions and opportunity from land and property. Loves music and sport but has finally accepted she will never be an elite athlete or rock star. Lauren Udall joins Realest's Agency team from Keygrove Chartered Surveyors as Director of Business Space

Robert Haynes

Job Titles:
  • Director - Building Consultancy
Robert has 30 years' experience in all aspects of commercial Building Surveying and works for national corporate occupiers and landlords, property investors, tenants and the public sector. He joined Realest in 2015 from BNP Paribas Real Estate where he was a Senior Director for 15 years. Robert's work encompasses the whole commercial lifecycle including pre-acquisition, development and due diligence advice, project managing and contract administration for new build or redevelopment and maintaining and refurbishing existing buildings. Robert works closely with our Agency and Lease Advisory teams to deliver an end to end and joined up service to our clients. Robert is a football fan and season ticket holder at Southampton FC. He is a qualified FA coach.

Simon Nicholls

Simon is a highly proficient chartered building surveyor with over 25 years experience in the commercial and residential sector. He joined Realest as a Consultant in 2020 having previously worked with JLL, where he was a Director and managed their Building Consultancy team in Southampton. Simon became a Realest Director in June 2022. He has a proven track record in the industry and can provide an extensive range of core building surveying services including: project managing new build and refurbishment projects, development monitoring and technical due diligence work, acquisition advice, party wall matters, schedule of condition, defect analysis and dilapidations. Simon's experience brings a comprehensive understanding to client objectives. He has worked with national occupiers and landlords, institutional funds, private companies, developers and the public sector. Outside of work, Simon enjoys family time, watching rugby and is a keen fisherman. Simon Nicholls is recruited as a Consultant to the Building Surveying department, joining from JLL where he was Head of Building Consultancy

Steven Williams

Steven is a leading commercial agent with over 15 years of expertise and a reputation for achieving constructive and cost-effective solutions for his clients. He provides advice on all aspects of acquisition, disposal and consultancy advice with particular expertise in the office agency market and office regeneration. He has also developed a strong track record in large scale land and development projects. Steven joined Realest in 2015 from BNP Paribas Real Estate where he was Head of South Coast Agency after previously heading up the Lambert Smith Hampton South Coast Office Agency team. He acts for both national clients and number of local occupiers and landlords, providing advice on relocation and acquisition opportunities. He also advises on investment decisions, operational strategy, property rationalisation, disposal strategy and relocation advice, including large scale acquisitions. Loves all food, all drink and all sport. Steven was a former fast bowler for England and Hampshire County youth teams. He is a keen golfer with a handicap of 5.

Stuart Cook

Stuart founded Realest in 2013 after heading up the Southampton offices of BNP Paribas Real Estate, Atisreal and Chesterton. He has provided clients with a combination of Occupier Services and Transactional services over the last 30 years. Since June 2022, Stuart provides advice to clients as a Consultant to Realest. An unusual balance of property and operational management experience enables him to understand his clients business and also recognise the role property can play in increasing turnover, profitability and improving efficiency. He has detailed knowledge of the public sector, including higher education and healthcare. Stuart is loving living his best life in his new campervan, and travelling and exploring new places.
