Salena Hanrahan is the owner and clinical director of the Acupuncture Center for Health since January 1, 2017 when she assumed the practice from it's founder, Pamela J. Lee. Prior to moving to Paso Robles, Salena ran successful private practices in both Los Angeles, CA and Chicago, IL and has practiced in many integrative settings alongside a variety of doctors and esteemed acupuncture colleagues including Chicago Women's Health Center and Whole Women, Whole Health at Mercy Hospital's Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center. She is a nationally certified Diplomate in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbalism by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the California Acupuncture Board. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the esteemed Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a 2020 Pacific College Doctoral candidate. Salena holds a specialized certification in the treatment of pain and orthopedic disorders having completed over sixty plus hours of physical assessment and practice in gentle, effective orthopedic needle techniques. Salena works with a diverse group of patients ranging from teens to those individuals over sixty. She enjoys a general practice in Paso Robles and treats a variety of conditions in her clinic. However, she focuses her ongoing continuing education to specifically enhance her skill set in areas of specialty including: the study of pain management/orthopedic conditions/sports injuries, the treatment of gynecological conditions and fertility, and preventative self care and stress management to avoid illness. She is passionate about introducing patients to the many benefits of Chinese Medicine and teaching preventative self-care. Salena steadfastly maintains that good health is the gateway to a harmonious, balanced and pain-free life.
