They work as a collaborative ensemble to develop absurd and grotesque performances that facilitate real encounters with characters born from the textures, smells and atmospheres of the surroundings... GRUFF's work is rooted in principles of play, responsiveness and developed through intensive collaborative practice over the past ten years. Often working site-specifically, new work is made through a devising process that explicitly seeks to explore the ‘beautiful' within the grotesque, to reveal the ‘sublime' in the boundlessness and fluidity of the uncensored imagination.
