SFITA(NI) - Sea fish Industry Training Association NI, is based in Portavogie Co.Down. We are a not for profit fish industry training school and opened our doors to provide quality training and advice to fishermen, onshore workers and other maritime users in 1986. Although the centre is based in Portavogie, courses are delivered throughout Northern Ireland including the 3 main ports of Kilkeel, Portavogie and Ardglass... We strive to prevent loss of life or injury and increase survivability of accidents at sea through quality training structured to enhance safety at sea. We take this responsibility seriously and continue to deliver high quality training at a reasonable cost and to obtain government/ EU funding via Seafish to run fully funded training courses where possible.
