Andrew Knott is a venture capitalist with years of experience in land assembly and residential land development. His decision to join the World Housing ‘Founder Group' stems from his core belief that we are all responsible, in part, for the well-being of others. Andrew, who recognizes the importance of equality, dignity, and respect for all people aligns deeply around World Housing's core value that ‘everyone deserves a home'.

Dave Hamilton has been with World Housing from the beginning in Cambodia 10 years ago. There, he documented the brutal living conditions of the Stung Meanchey landfill in Phnom Penh. Ground was broken, and the beginning of World Housing was born.
Founder Pete Dupuis found Dave by noticing his style of photography through a local company in Vancouver. Pete cold called Dave as he was walking to the gym on a cold Autumn morning. Dave and Pete became fast friends, and he was asked by Pete to head the visual storytelling for World Housing. Dave jumped at that opportunity and in the first couple of years used his visual storytelling to bring light to the needs and eventually the charge to the people of Cambodia and the Philippines. Seeing what these homes could do for the families changed him. A simple door that locks and space to cook seems so simple to us, but for these people, it is the difference to help in the journey to change their lives and the lives of their children.
Dave now calls Halifax, Nova Scotia home, where he runs HAMILTON EAST, a winning Content creation Agency. Providing content for clients from Car companies, National unions, developers, and some of Canada's best musicians. Recently, Dave was approached by World Housing to come back on board as the Creative Director for World Housing. He will document the 10th anniversary of World Housing in October, completing a full circle for him and the World Housing team. Dave will be bringing his storytelling narrative through photography and video to spread the word and work of World Housing and all its ambassadors to the rest of the world. We are excited to have him back on the team and excited for what the future holds.
His first project involves flying to Zambia in May 2024 to tell the story of the Tilling House, a school where 30 girls have the opportunity to learn, grow, and become the best versions of themselves. Stay tuned for all this and more. You can follow Dave on Instagram at HamiltonEastinc. As Founder Pete Dupuis would say, "looking forward".

Mac Voisin graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. "I couldn't get a job, and even Hallmark Cards in Toronto turned me down. Thank goodness!" Mac decided to try his hand as a real estate salesperson, obtaining his broker's license. In 1976 he and his brother, Greg, built over 100 homes in the Waterloo Region.
In 1980 Mac and his brother-in-law, Mark Nowak, embarked on a ground-breaking venture launching the first M&M Meat Shop in Kitchener, Ontario. Their vision revolutionized the retail sector by offering consumers high quality restaurant-style food products, setting the stage for a culinary shift in the industry. In a mere nine months following the inaugural store's success, the brothers launched the first M&M Meat Shops franchise in Cambridge, Ontario. By 1985, the reins of the company transitioned solely into Mac's capable hands when his brother Mark pursued his law practice. Under Mac's steady hand, the company grew over the next 30 years to more than 400 franchises, and over 100 Head Office employees before he sold the company in 2014.
Mac's innovative approach to business, and dedication to hard work earned him numerous accolades from both the business community and charitable organizations. His notable recognitions include being honored among "Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies" and receiving the prestigious "Man of the Year" accolade from the Canadian Food Industries. His efforts in fundraising for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) garnered widespread acclaim, further emphasized by his receipt of the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award in the Retail category for Ontario.

Their latest venture is now as World Housing Ambassadors leading the charge on solving the plight of homelessness.
Mac's journey stands as a testament to visionary leadership, business acumen, and a heartfelt commitment to making a tangible difference in both the business landscape and the lives of those who are less fortunate. World Housing is honoured to have Mac as part of the leadership advisory team, and group of impact investors who passionately help to steer the growth of World Housing in our mission to combat global homelessness.
