Amanda is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery. She qualified in 2003 and has worked in the field of gynaecology for the last 13 years. Amanda has undertaken specialist training in the field of fertility and is an accredited subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. Amanda is a Consultant Gynaecologist at St. Michael's Hospital and also consults at Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine and the Spire Hospital Bristol. She has a broad research portfolio with a particular interest in fertility surgery and the impact of obesity on reproductive health. She has published research articles and book chapters on these subjects. Amanda continues to be actively involved in research. She is an organiser and trainer on the prestigious British Fertility Society Reproductive Surgery Masterclass and teaches and supervises on the University of Bristol MSc in Reproduction and Development. In addition to this she teaches and supervises junior doctors and medical students in the field of Gynaecology. Guy completed a 2-year Fellowship in the Reproductive Medicine Unit at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust. Oli qualified in 2006 and has been working in Gynaecology since 2008. He is a consultant gynaecologist working with BCRM and also for the NHS at St. Michael's Hospital, Bristol. He is a specialist in Reproductive Medicine, advanced laparoscopic (key hole) and hysteroscopic (womb cavity) surgery and endometriosis. He is also the lead consultant at The St.Michael's Endometriosis Centre and is experienced in management of all aspects of this disease, but is particularly interested and qualified in treating those endometriosis patients with fertility issues.

Sarah is a subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery and is a Consultant Gynaecologist, with an interest in Reproductive Medicine and Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, at St Michael's Hospital, Bristol. She completed her subspecialty training in Oxford, gaining a broad range of skills and experience with teams at both The John Radcliffe Hospital and The Fertility Partnership. Sarah began her research career as a fellow at the University of Auckland. She has a record of high-impact research, with numerous peer-reviewed publications to her name, including in journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, Human Reproduction, and the BMJ. Sarah holds an MD from the University of Sheffield on the topic of IVF add-ons. She has enjoyed being an invited speaker at international conferences and has presented evidence to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) and the World Health Organization. Sarah is an author and editor for Cochrane Gynaecology and Human Fertility. Her current research interests include exploring the equity of availability of IVF, updating her Cochrane review titles, and a study exploring the impact of a positive reappraisal coping intervention for women experiencing recurrent miscarriage. Sarah is a dedicated teacher and has held formal teaching positions: lecturing at the University of Oxford and University of Auckland. Also, she lectures on the MSc courses at the Universities of the West of England and Sheffield. Sarah is a compassionate and caring doctor who always strives for evidence based and effective care to provide her patients with the best possible outcomes.

Dr Toshi Sherpa

Toshi is a Fertility Fellow at BCRM and a Senior Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar at St. Michael's Hospital, bringing a wealth of expertise and compassion to his practice. Renowned for his kind, calm, and zen demeanour, he resonates with colleagues and patients alike, embodying warmth and professionalism in all aspects of his life. Beginning his medical journey in 2008, Toshi's passion for women's health led him to obtain his Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery from the University of Bristol in 2014, followed by specialty training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 2016, and awarded membership to the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in 2021. A reflection of his empathy and commitment to compassionate care, Toshi's interest in philosophy, ethics, and law, led him to be awarded a degree in Bioethics. He has experience navigating complex issues with understanding and kindness as a member of the Clinical Ethics Advisory Group at Acute Bristol Trusts, working to ensure the highest standards in medical care. Toshi's expertise in reproductive medicine and surgery has been honed through advanced training and a fertility fellowship at the Cotswold Fertility Unit & Gloucestershire Trusts. He has extensive experience guiding individuals and couples through their fertility journey, from initial consultation, investigations, reproductive surgery, to assisted reproductive treatments such as IVF. Additionally, Toshi possesses several years of experience providing comprehensive care for women through their reproductive journey from preconception, antenatal, labour, and postnatal care, as well as managing acute gynaecological and obstetric emergencies. Beyond clinical roles, Toshi is deeply engaged in teaching and research. Passionate about teaching, he has taught students from the University of Oxford and Bristol as well as leading multidisciplinary healthcare professional training. For three years Toshi identified key issues as a Research Fellow for the National Institute of Health Research authoring several publications and editorials focusing on women's health. Toshi's dedication to global health extends to his role as a health advisor to a multi-national NGO, fostering positive cultural changes and improving population health in Nepal. Toshi's leadership is also demonstrated through coordination of major charitable fundraising events and advocacy for universal inclusion. In his personal life, Toshi is a tennis fanatic and enjoys surfing, diving, and travelling. Paul Wilson

Paul is the Scientific Director for Fertility Bristol as well as Consultant Embryologist & Andrologist. He is a Nationally recognised expert in the field of Embryology and has nearly 25 years on direct hands-on experience in IVF labs and, in addition to being part of the Fertility Bristol team, is also the Head of Embryology & Andrology here at BCRM. He previously led the Laboratory team as Laboratory Director and Person Responsible at the University of Bristol's Centre for Reproductive Medicine. Paul has extensive leadership experience in the delivery of clinical Embryology & Andrology services, including laboratory design, quality management to international standards and is actively involved in the formal training of new Scientists entering the Reproductive Medicine field. Paul's research interests include the optimisation of embryo culture, the timing of embryo replacement and embryo cryopreservation processes. His objective is to ensure that the very highest possible success rates are obtained for patients.
