OUT OF THE BLUE - Key Persons
Founder Stelios Apostolopoulos GSC, is a professional DoP with over 30 years of experience in fiction, documentary and commercial shoots. He has filmed underwater on more than 140 national and international productions, making him by far the most experienced underwater cinematographer working in the unique locations of the Aegean Sea.
Stelios Apostolopoulos was born and raised in Chania, Crete. He studied electrical engineering and later Cinematography. In 1991, he works as a camera assistant for the shootings of a documentary on the oldest shipwreck in the world, at the island of Dokos; there he takes the decision to get involved with underwater cinematography. Since then, his occupation is nonstop and up to nowadays he has undertaken and completed underwater shootings for over one hundred Greek and international productions, in Greece and abroad.
