The Institute was established on February 6 , 1959 by the decision of the State Committee on Chemistry The Council of Ministers of the USSR in Chirchik, Uzbek SSR, as a branch of the Moscow State Institute of Nitrogen Industry of the USSR (Chirchik branch of GIAP)... The Chirchik branch of GIAP was established in order to provide the construction sites of nitrogen-tuk plants in Central Asia with design and estimate documentation and author's supervision to provide technical assistance for the normalization of the existing production of these plants, for the introduction of scientific developments and new types of fertilizers...
