Fantech was founded in 1973 by Jack Pirie and Glen Harries. Originally named Air and Noise Equipment (soon changed to Air and Noise Engineering Pty. Ltd.), the men set out to provide customers with the best possible quality products, service and advice. Initially operating from the family home in Melbourne they soon established themselves in more suitable accommodation and set about evolving the business from a manufacturers' representative to introducing their own new products to the market.
