If you are in the area and have an interest in maritime history, why not pay us a visit. Some of our visitors have local connections that they want to explore, and we will help all we can... If you are just stuck for something to do, come and see us anyway. We have lots of interesting exhibits for adults and children alike. Have a look at working models, film of past maritime activities, turn a ship's wheel, tie some knots, see how a sextant was used, see model ships from the 16th century to the modern day, and lots more... From Barnstaple or North Cornwall, take the A39 to Bideford. At the roundabout on the Bideford side of the Torridge Bridge follow the signs to Appledore. On descent into Appledore, turn left at the Museum brown sign. Use EX39 1PT on your GPS.
