Chun Wang

Chun is a Senior Analyst and Co-Portfolio Manager for the Leuthold Global Fund, Leuthold Core Investment Fund, and the Leuthold Select Industries Fund. Chun is also a member of the asset allocation committee and the investment strategy committee. In addition to his Portfolio Management responsibilities, Chun is a contributing writer to The Leuthold Group's highly regarded institutional publications. Chun performs both top-down and bottom-up research to identify significant cross-asset trends and themes among major asset classes including global equities, fixed income, and currencies. Prior to joining the Leuthold team in 2009, Chun was a Quantitative Equities Portfolio Manager and Head of Quantitative Research at LIM Advisors, a Hong Kong based Asia/Pacific focused multi-strategy hedge fund. Preceding that position, Chun was with Ned Davis Research for 11 years as Director of Research & Development, responsible for quantitative product development and a research publication titled Quantitative Review. Chun also worked as an equity analyst with Shanghai International Securities in China. Chun has a BS degree in Economics from Xiamen University and a MS degree in Economics from the University of Florida. He holds a number of professional designations and certifications including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Professional Risk Manager (PRM), Certified JAVA Programmer, SAS Certified Professional, and the Certificate in Financial Engineering from UC Berkeley.

Doug Ramsey - Chief Investment Officer

Doug is the Chief Investment Officer of The Leuthold Group, LLC, and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Leuthold Core Investment Fund and the Leuthold Global Fund. In addition to his CIO and Portfolio Management responsibilities heading both the asset allocation and investment strategy committees, Doug maintains the firm's proprietary Major Trend Index, a multi-factor model which evaluates the underlying health of the markets, both domestically and globally. He is also the lead writer for The Leuthold Group's highly regarded institutional research publications. Doug is an accomplished speaker and has presented at a range of engagements, including the Morningstar Investment Conference, CFA societies across the U.S., Minnesota CPA Society, Minneapolis Business Bank, and a variety of Advisor and private client events throughout the country. These appearances have encompassed a variety of settings, from intimate meetings to groups of around 300 attendees. Additionally, Doug is frequently used as a resource by the financial press, including appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg TV; he has been quoted several times in Barron's and is often referred to by the leading trade journals for a variety of topics. He is a member of the Charles Dow Award committee, and the Market Technicians Association. Before joining the Leuthold team, Doug was Chief Investment Officer of Treis Capital in Des Moines, Iowa, where he managed equity portfolios and published a quantitative equity research product. Prior to that, he worked at Principal Global Investors. Doug is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration. He also played four years of varsity basketball at Coe, earning Academic All-America honors in 1986-87. Doug received an MA degree in Economics from The Ohio State University in 1990; he earned his CFA designation in 1996 and became a Chartered Market Technician in 2003.

Greg Swenson

Greg is a Senior Analyst and Co-Portfolio Manager for the Leuthold Grizzly Short Fund, Leuthold Core Investment Fund, Leuthold Global Fund, and Leuthold Select Industries Fund. Along with his Portfolio Management duties, Greg is a key member of the team involved with the quantitative development and maintenance of the firm's global investment strategies, and the analysis of domestic securities. He monitors and evaluates the quant factors employed for investment selection and dissects attribution of performance. Greg joined Leuthold Weeden Capital Management in July of 2006. Prior to this, Greg was a Consultant and Account Executive at FactSet Research Systems based in Chicago. In that position, he oversaw a large base of investment firm/hedge fund clients, where he aided Analysts and Portfolio Managers in expanding the depth of their securities and portfolio analysis capabilities. While at FactSet, Greg worked extensively with the Leuthold research team in the initial development of their global marketplace data analysis. Greg graduated with honors from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, and he is a CFA charterholder.

Phil Segner

Phil is a Co-Portfolio Manager for the Leuthold Grizzly Short Fund and a Senior Research Analyst and contributes to Leuthold research publications as well as strategy and equity group analysis. Phil joined The Leuthold Group, LLC, in 2010 as a Trader. Beginning in 2015 he added on the role of Research Analyst. Prior to joining the Leuthold team, Phil worked in Trading and Operations for two Minneapolis-area hedge funds. Phil has a BA in Finance from Gustavus Adolphus College and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He has been a CFA charterholder since 2013 and is a member of the CFA Society of Minnesota. Scott Opsal

Scott is Director of Equities for Leuthold Weeden Capital Management. In this role, Scott oversees all processes and procedures relating to construction and implementation of the firm's domestic and global equities strategies, both as standalone products and as components of the firm's tactical allocation portfolios. Scott is a member of the firm's Asset Allocation Committee, led by Doug Ramsey, Chief Investment Officer. Scott is also Director of Research for The Leuthold Group, LLC. His responsibilities include conducting in-depth research projects and exploring fundamental and quantitative studies that support the firm's portfolio and strategy recommendations. He also coordinates idea flow among the firm's research team, and is a regular contributor to The Leuthold Group's institutional research publications. Scott brings over thirty years of professional investment experience to the Leuthold team. As Chief Investment Officer of Invista Capital Management, and as Head of Equities at Members Capital Advisors, he was involved in all aspects of firm management; establishing policies on risk management, asset allocation, quantitative techniques, style-based investing, and taxable investing. He designed and implemented institutional-grade research and portfolio management processes to provide a rigorous, consistent framework for decision making and the analytical tools that drive strategy for multi-asset portfolios. Scott's past corporate-level activities included serving on management and investment policy committees, staff recruiting and hiring, representing the equity group at fund board meetings, marketing and support to wholesalers and financial representatives, and selecting outside sub-advisors. In his experience as a portfolio manager, Scott introduced new tools including factor analysis, valuation models, quantitative ranking and comparison tools, target price and position weighting analysis, risk management, and performance attribution. He established relationships with top pension consulting firms and competed in institutional finals searches, bringing in new third party assets from a national base. Scott's portfolio management assignments included international equity, domestic equity, taxable investing and convertible securities. He was twice named as one of Barron's Top 100 Mutual Fund Managers.
