Dave Madeley has worked at Lincoln EATS since July 2009, starting as Technology Assistant he progressed to Senior Technology Assistant and finally to Clinical Technologist in December 2016. As a former member of Lincoln Wheelers Cycling club he could often be seen speeding along the A57 Saxilby road on his tandem road bike with his wife peddling furiously behind. The tandem has been retired now and makes a great wall ornament. (If anyone is interested I'm open to offers)!

Helen studied at De Montfort University, Leicester, graduating in 2006 as a Speech and Language Therapist. Helen has worked with children for all of this time including those children with complex needs. She was also part of the local AAC team for children in Nottinghamshire. Helen joined the EATS team in October 2018 and carries out specialist assessments and reviews for both children and adults as well as providing training and support for local teams.

Jo Brown

Jo studied MSc Human Communication Science at University College London and graduated as a Speech & Language Therapist in 2004. Jo has worked with children with speech, language and communication needs for all of her career to date. She was a member of the SLT AAC team in her previous role, assessing, implementing and training on paper-based and power-based AAC for children with learning disabilities and complex needs. Jo joined the EATS team in June 2021 and carries out Specialist assessments for adults and children as well as providing training and support for local teams.

Jo Pacey

Jo studied on the MMedSci Clinical Communication Studies course at the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2000 as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT). Jo worked briefly with children in a Community Clinic for two years following graduation and also as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist in a Community Learning Disability team in North Derbyshire for 18 years. Her work with this team included the role of lead SLT for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, assessing, implementing and training on paper based and powerbased AAC for Adults with Learning Disabilities including individuals with complex physical disabilities. Jo joined the EATS team in December 2018 and carries out specialist assessments and reviews for both children and adults as well as providing training and support for local teams. She is also the lead for Therapy Outcome Measures for the service.
