Christina Keßler is the Clara Marina O'Donnell fellow (2023-24). She focuses on European foreign and security policy as well as China and the Indo-Pacific region.
Prior to joining the CER, Christina worked for NATO's Policy Planning Unit and the European Green Party. She holds an MA in European Political and Governance Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium as well as an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford.

Daniel Keohane is an associate fellow of the Centre for European Reform, working on Brexit, the future of the EU, and European security and defence policies (national, EU, NATO, UN). He has testified on those subjects before committees at the Irish Oireachtas (Parliament), the UK House of Commons, and the European Parliament, and has written articles for academic journals such as Survival, Journal of Common Market Studies, International Spectator, Política Exterior, Aspenia and Défense Nationale.
He previously worked at European Movement Ireland in Dublin, the Centre for Security Studies at ETH Zürich, the Foundation for International Relations (FRIDE) in Brussels and Madrid, the European Union Institute for Security Studies in Paris, the Institute for National Strategic Studies at the National Defense University in Washington DC, and the Aspen Institute in Berlin. He was also a researcher at the CER from 2001-2006.

Elisabetta Cornago is a senior research fellow at the Centre for European Reform, where she works on EU energy and climate policy from an economics perspective.
Recently she has been focusing on the impacts of the energy crunch on the EU's economic and energy policy; on the EU emissions trading scheme and carbon border adjustment mechanism; and on the role of Europe's Recovery and Resilience Facility and, more broadly, of EU-wide fiscal spending for the energy transition.
Her analysis and comment have featured in The Economist, the Financial Times, Politico, The New York Times and The Washington Post. She often engages in podcasts and radio programmes and, beyond the CER podcast, has featured on the BBC Radio 4's Briefing Room and Deutsche Welle's Inside Europe.
Before joining the CER, Elisabetta worked as an environmental economist at the OECD. More recently, she worked on energy efficiency policy at the International Energy Agency.
Elisabetta holds a PhD and an MA in economics from Université Libre de Bruxelles, and a BA in economics and public management from Università Bocconi.

Ian Bond joined the Centre for European Reform as director of foreign policy in April 2013. Prior to that, he was a member of the British diplomatic service for 28 years.
His most recent appointment was as political counsellor and joint head of the foreign and security policy group in the British Embassy, Washington (2007-12), where he focused on US foreign policy towards Europe, the former Soviet Union, Asia and Africa. He was British Ambassador to Latvia from 2005-07, receiving a CVO (Commander of the Royal Victorian Order) for his work on the Queen's state visit in 2006.
He was posted in Vienna as deputy head of the UK delegation to the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) from 2000-04, working on human rights and democracy in the OSCE area, and on conflict prevention and resolution in the Balkans and the former Soviet Union. His earlier career included postings in Moscow (1993-96) and at NATO HQ (1987-90), and working in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on the former Soviet Union, on the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy and on NATO and UK defence policy.

John Springford is deputy director of the Centre for European Reform in London. He acted as secretary to the CER's commission on the economic consequences of leaving the EU, which published its final report in June 2014. Before joining the CER, he worked at the Social Market Foundation and CentreForum think-tanks. He studied at Oxford and Glasgow universities and at the London School of Economics.
John has contributed opinion pieces to various newspapers, including the Financial Times, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian and The Telegraph. He regularly commentates on economic and political issues for the broadcast media. He has acted as a specialist advisor to the House of Commons Treasury committee, and has given evidence to the House of Commons, House of Lords and the British government's Balance of Competences Review.

Biography
Jordan Orsler is the events manager at the Centre for European Reform. She is responsible for the planning and execution of the CER's conferences and roundtables.
Jordan joined the CER in March 2013. She has a degree in German and European Studies from the University of Sussex, and spent an Erasmus year studying at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg.

Biography
Sophie joined CER in May 2014 as the fundraising and operations manager. She is responsible for the day to day management of CER, particularly the finance and fundraising arm and maintaining sponsor relationships, whilst also taking an active role in pan-European events.
Sophie completed her Master's degree in International Management and Relations at Oxford Brookes University. Since graduating she has been involved in the charity and not-for-profit sector, including the think-tank Open Europe and most predominantly for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH).

Zach Meyers is a research fellow at the Centre for European Reform where he works on EU competition policy, particularly in the digital sector.
Prior to joining the CER, Zach spent over 10 years as a competition and regulatory lawyer in Australia, the US and the UK. He has particular expertise in economic regulation and network industries such as telecoms, energy, payments, financial services and airports. In addition to advising in the private sector, he has consulted to a number of developing country governments, regulators and the World Bank on competition reforms in regulated sectors.
