Midwest Thoroughbreds, Inc. is the vision of Richard and Karen Papiese. Starting with a small stable of horses, Midwest Thoroughbreds has grown to over 100 race horses. While racing is one of the main focuses of Midwest Thoroughbreds, Inc., the aftercare of racing's participants is just as important. Midwest Thoroughbreds, Inc. supports numerous thoroughbred retirement facilities across the country, racetrack chaplaincy organizations, and the PDJF (Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund)... Midwest Thoroughbreds, Inc. began back in 2001 with two horses as Sue's April Fool and My Beau Genius got it all started. Racing under Richard and Karen Papiese until 2007, Midwest Thoroughbreds, Inc. was formed in 2008, making 48 starts that season... On the racing end, Midwest Thoroughbreds, Inc. has become a mainstay at racetracks along the East coast and in the Midwest. Midwest Thoroughbreds has compiled over 2,500 victories and over $50 million in earnings, Midwest Thoroughbreds, Inc. has grown..
