Ms. Kuhn has worked in administrative services in the healthcare field since 1988. After graduating from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in Finance, Ms. Kuhn worked for FHP of Utah on the Sales and Marketing team, which was the only staff model HMO in Utah at the time. There she learned a tremendous amount about the healthcare market in Utah, including the relationships among the various payers, hospital systems and physician groups.
Following her work at FHP, Ms. Kuhn completed her MBA from Westminster College and began working for Young Management Group. YMG is a Salt Lake-based healthcare consulting firm specializing in hospital-based management, marketing, acquisitions and feasibility studies and physician practice management. Ms. Kuhn then worked at Physicians HealthNet, working in physician network development, contracting and management. She gained extensive experience and knowledge in provider-payer contracting, particularly capitated and alternate payment methodologies.
In 2000, Ms. Kuhn founded Practice Performance Solutions. Clients include individual physicians and physician groups, physician networks, provider network developers and managers, physical therapy groups, student health centers and student health insurance consultants.
