Joana is a local and well-known Azorean lawyer. Born locally but well-travelled and studied abroad, she knows to combine her in-depth knowledge about the Azorean law and customs with an international perspective. Prior to joining the São Miguel Lawyers, she worked for several years in local high-class law firms, getting a close inside into the local real estate market and the corporate scene.

Elisa is a German-Portuguese lawyer. Before she became a partner with the Sao Miguel Lawyers, she worked for several years in Germany as a corporate and real estate lawyer in law firms and as a legal counsel in a big Berlin startup company. This experience has given her valuable insight on European real estate and startup market trends and an edge when it comes to understanding her clients‘ needs. Her own experience of moving to the Azores makes her a valuable adviser for other expats.
