Plasmend Medical has been at the forefront of plasma physics, and has developed a new and patented non-thermal plasma (NTP) technology that has been shown to be safe and effective for the treatment of a myriad of skin conditions. Plasmend Medical's NTP technology uses its patented dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) handpiece to deliver NTP directly to the target site. The Plasmend Medical NTP technology does not require a carrier gas inherent with jet plasmas... Plasmend Medical NTP technology creates non-thermal plasma at room temperature without thermal tissue damage. The Plasmend DBD handpiece is designed to treat small lesions, such as warts, as well as large surface area treatments for actinic keratosis. Treatment is short and generally takes 1 to 2 minutes per lesion for clinical efficacy.
