Patterson, and she is a registered psychologist based in Red Deer, Alberta. She graduated from the University of Regina with a B.Ed. in Adult Education in 1994. After that, she moved to Northern Saskatchewan and worked at Northlands College as an instructor in basic education and a life skills coach for 11 years. In 2004, she moved to Alberta to train as a marital and family therapist at Loma Linda University Campus in Lacombe. After graduating in 2007 as both a marital and family therapist and psychologist, she worked for Alberta Health Services in Child and Adolescent Psychology in High Prairie, Alberta.
