Total Home Care was started in 1984 by Don and Holly Chute in Atlanta. In 1990, while running his own commercial window cleaning company, Maury Benamy began his association with Total Home Care, and for the next 15 years, would often assist Don and Holly with some of their jobs. During that time both Maury and the Chutes formed a strong bond while working within the International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA) to better the industry. In 2004, Maury and John Stembel purchased Total Home Care from the Chutes. Total Home Care of Georgia, Inc. was formed by combining the customer databases of the two companies.
