GPLG - Key Persons
Andrew's journey to law began early, shaped by his upbringing as the son of an Air Force officer. Raised on military bases across the U.S., Andrew spent much of his childhood in North Dakota before attending high school in Dayton, Ohio. With extended family in Wyoming and Colorado, Wyoming became his sense of "home" amid a life of frequent relocations. The values instilled by his military family-service, duty, and commitment-became integral to his personal and professional identity.
After completing his undergraduate degree in Accounting at the University of Wyoming in 1998, Andrew pursued his legal education at the University of Dayton School of Law, graduating in 2001. Upon completing his studies, he moved to Atlanta, where he has practiced law for over two decades. His professional path reflects a dedication to serving others, with his career rooted in probate law, a field that allows him to assist families during some of their most challenging times.
Andrew chose probate law because of its unique combination of legal complexity and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives. His experience spans a broad range of legal issues, but he finds deep satisfaction in helping clients navigate the emotionally and legally difficult terrain of probate.
"The most rewarding part of my practice," Andrew reflects, "is helping families achieve outcomes they wouldn't be able to on their own, especially when they are dealing with the loss of a loved one."
He takes pride in providing clarity, support, and expert guidance during these critical moments.
Committed to delivering top-tier legal service, Andrew values clear communication and client trust. He believes that legal professionals should serve as guides, ensuring clients are informed and involved throughout the process. His approach is centered on fostering that trust and assuring clients that their matters are being handled with care and professionalism.
Outside of his legal practice, Andrew is an avid sports fan, regularly following the Falcons and Braves. He also enjoys playing recreational ice hockey and spending quality time with his family and their four dogs. When not working or on the ice, Andrew can often be found cooking, traveling, or relaxing with his loved ones on the weekends.

Erik is an Award Winning Probate Lawyer with over fifteen years of experience and the Founder of Georgia Probate Law Group.
He sees it as his personal mission to demystify the process of handling an estate or trust and to help people by making the complex estate process simple and accessible.
He is a firm believer that there is always a better way to do things. And loves finding new and innovative ways to deliver better, more effective service that solves the client's key problem or issue and improves the client's life.
Erik has seen first-hand, in his own family, what can happen when a probate estate situation gets out of control.
When he was in college, one of Erik's uncles died, leaving an aunt he was very close to growing up widowed. Erik's uncle had two adult children from a different marriage. Although the relationship between Erik's aunt and his uncle's two kids seemed to be on good terms before his uncle died, it soon became very clear that there were undercurrents to the relationship that his aunt never knew about.
The two children forced everything to an estate sale, and Erik vividly remembers seeing his aunt pushed around in a wheelchair in her front yard at the estate sale while people walked in and out of her home, price tags on many items inside, and people buying things right in front of her that she had always thought were hers.
Then, her home was put up for sale right in front of her eyes. Luckily, the family came together and bought the home back from the estate.
This whole experience left an indelible mark on Erik.
After founding the Georgia Probate Law Group, Erik decided that he could make a difference by finding a better way to handle estates and trusts.
Erik believes strongly in specialization and that clients are always better served by having a lawyer on their side who focuses exclusively on helping people who have lost a loved one with estate and trust matters. He believes that if his aunt had hired a firm that focused on probate matters, her situation could have worked out a lot differently, and she could have been saved from a lot of unnecessary heartache.
Erik sees his role in the firm as "creating an environment where our clients receive the best possible help, service, and compassionate understanding after losing a loved one, and where our employees can thrive and grow to their fullest potential."
He loves coming to work every day because he has a compulsive need to continually improve things. As a licensed Georgia probate lawyer, working with the law firm allows him to be a force for positive change and gives him the opportunity to examine what is missing from the legal industry or from the firm and create it.
Outside of the office, Erik enjoys practicing kickboxing, reading good books, and playing with his two young children. He loves mountain biking and lives in Marietta with his wonderful wife, children, and three dogs.

When Stacey was twelve years old, she had two great loves - the theatre and music - and one, and only one, thing she wanted to be when she grew up - a lawyer.
She's not sure where that came from; she just knows she was twelve, knew what she wanted, and never strayed from that path despite the allure of acting. Specifically, roles in Jesus Christ Superstar, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Kiss Me Kate, and many more in high school and at the University of Georgia.
Along the way, Stacey developed a love for logical analysis and joined the debating team. This solidified her determination to go to law school. By then, it seemed like the right place for her interests and talents. After her senior year, she moved across the campus to Georgia's Law School.
It should not be surprising that Stacey became a litigator and is currently a senior probate attorney. A perfect match for someone who enjoyed strategy, debating, and, yes, performing in front of an audience.
Before she joined Georgia Probate Law Group, Stacey's career saw her handle issues touching on almost every area of the law, usually in a courtroom. She was always comfortable in the courtroom, and the challenges of litigating cases involving a range of legal issues suited her intellectual curiosity.
She came to Georgia Probate Law Group because she knew that probate law effectively involves all the other areas of law she enjoyed over her twenty-six-year legal career. With one all-important addition: helping people at a critical time in their lives.
As Stacey puts it, probate law is an opportunity to "really help people and families that are overwhelmed at a very painful moment. It's a time when everyone can benefit from talking to someone outside the situation who can see things clearly."
Stacey never loses sight that what she does today for families in probate effects future generations as well. That's one of the things that gives her immense satisfaction.
Stacey has 32 years of civil, probate and litigation experience.
