David Booth

Job Titles:

David joined Feldspar in Nov 2015 and became a partner in July 2016. David is a trained Quantity Surveyor and has been a Professional Project Manager for the last 17 years. David has managed a large variety of capital projects ranging from education, commercial property, viticulture, hospitality, heritage redevelopment and healthcare roles have included master planning, design management, value management and project delivery. David is also a PRINCE2 Practitioner. David has worked on significant projects in a wide range of project sectors and is experienced across all aspects of project management. Highlights in David's Project Management career include leadership roles in the development of Elephant Hill Vineyard, current Project Director for the Nelson Airport redevelopment and Redevelopment of the Dunedin City Town Hall. David was also the Project Manager for the redevelopment of the National Bank of New Zealand in Dunedin. This project was awarded a RICS award in London in 2006 recognising the quality of this significant restoration.

James Tyson

Job Titles:

With a strong engineering background, James joined the Feldspar Team in 2019. In the years prior to joining the team James worked as a Transport Engineer in the public sector and as a Civil Engineering/Geotechnical technician in the Canterbury and Nelson-Tasman region. James has a strong interest in transportation and engineering infrastructure. His expertise in risk management allow him to think holistically and ensures that all stages of a project are accounted for during initiation.

Joff Riley

Job Titles:

Joff established the Feldspar in 2005 and has worked across a broad range of sectors including commercial property, water and transportation engineering, commercial construction/redevelopment, information technology, and general business consulting. Joff brings a structured approach to project management through PRINCE 2 methodologies and uses a clear and simple communication approach to meetings, reporting and day to day communication. Joff has led numerous projects in the public and private sectors over his 20 year career including leadership roles in commercial property development, rail, hospitality, heritage restoration, transportation, information technology and change management. Joff has a degree in Civil Engineering with Honours and achieved Registered status in New Zealand in 1999. He achieved Chartered Status in the United Kingdom in 2000. Joff achieved PRINCE 2 Practitioner accreditation in 2003.

Mark Todd

Job Titles:

After gaining a wealth of experience working in the large-scale commercial construction sector in Australia and the United Kingdom, Mark returned to New Zealand and worked for a large national construction company. Mark joined the Feldspar Team in 2017 and was appointed a Director in 2022. Mark has a Bachelor of Surveying from the University of Otago and brings a very practical skill set to the team. His construction background has given him an in-depth knowledge and experience in stakeholder management, health and safety, buildability, structural surveying, construction supervision and contractor liaison, enabling him to deliver projects across a variety of sectors. Mark has strong contract administration, cost management, and planning skills and enjoys establishing projects and plans to ensure robust delivery of projects. Mark achieved PRINCE2 Practitioner accreditation in 2017.

Neill Lewis

Neill joined Feldspar in October 2021 as a Senior Project Manager. Neill has a strong engineering background with over 10 years' experience in the engineering and construction industry, with the last 6 years working as a Structural Engineer for Beca in Dunedin. Neill has worked on several significant projects in Dunedin and Otago and has a broad range of experience and skills from the initial concept design stage of projects right through to the construction observation, such as the University of Otago Dental School, Mercy Hospital, University of Otago Marine Sciences Facility and the Ministry of Education Maniototo Area School. As a previous practicing structural engineer, Neill has a strong attention to detail and extensive construction experience. He has worked in both the public and private sectors and on a wide range of multidisciplinary projects including, healthcare, education, seismic strengthening, commercial and industrial and power.

Nina Paterson

Job Titles:
  • Senior Project Manager
Nina is a programme and project manager with 20 years' experience in both New Zealand and in the United Kingdom. Nina has led on many large-scale projects and programmes across a wide range of disciplines, from town centre redevelopments to education to recreation to major social housing developments to infrastructure projects. Nina possesses a demonstrable track record in effectively delivering projects and capital programmes. She has expertise in public sector capital project delivery, (including politically sensitive and contentious projects). Nina also has outstanding procurement and contract knowledge, along with substantial masterplanning experience. She is BBC (Better Business Cases) trained and has been involved in preparing hundreds of project appraisals and business cases. Nina has extensive skills in all areas of project delivery, from funding applications to value management exercises to post-implementation. She has also considerable experience in the legal side of project implementation, including land consolidation, disputes resolution and arbitration processes.

Tom Morgan

Tom has 12 years' experience as a client-side project manager across a wide range of sectors including Healthcare, Residential, Student Accommodation, Hotel & Leisure,Industrial, and Commercial. Tom started his project management career in the UK in 2010 before moving to New Zealand with his Kiwi partner in early 2021. Tom has a proven ability to facilitate a collaborative and solutions based team approach, with good communication skills which allows him to effectively manage client, consultant and contractor teams alike.
