Ms. Morehead provides business owners and entrepreneurs with practical legal advice, and can negotiate and document your business transactions and agreements. Ms. Morehead is an experienced litigator, mediator and ARIAS-certified arbitrator who can handle your insurance and business disputes in a cost effective, practical, and expedient manner. In addition to the above, Ms. Morehead provides additional services to her clients. Claudia M. Morehead is a California corporate attorney and advisor with 38 years of experience assisting companies, businesses and organizations in the for profit and nonprofit sectors accomplish their goals in a creative and cost effective manner. For the past ten years, she has represented primarily non-profit public charities, ranging from large megachurches and veterans organizations to social clubs and educational institutions. She is passionate about her clients and brings "large firm" expertise to her practice, which includes entity formation, applications for federal and state tax exemption, compliance, nonprofit corporate governance, joint ventures, nonprofit labor and employment issues and outside general counsel services. Ms. Morehead spent fourteen years in New York City serving for two years as counsel to Scor Reinsurance Company and as Associate General Counsel to Munich American Reinsurance Company.In 1996 she became the General Counsel of the CORE Group, a start-up group of five insurance and reinsurance companies funded by GE Capital and Employers Reinsurance Company in Stamford, Connecticut. In 1999 she relocated to Southern California where she first joined Bryan Cave LLP and later the Los Angeles office of Fulbright & Jaworski LLP. In 2007 she joined the Costa Mesa office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP as a partner. In April 2009 Ms. Morehead left the large firm environment to open her own firm in Newport Beach.
