Brian Lew is a specialist in highly complex information technology and intellectual property transactions, particularly with regard to business transformation and systems development life cycles. His advisory spans the breadth of concerns ranging from business-as-usual software and hardware procurement, project management and industry best practices to regulatory compliance, data privacy and protection, cross-border issue resolution and contentious matters.
Brian's work on Information Technology (IT) transactions is at the forefront of its kind in Malaysia, and he advises major financial institutions, international and local consultancy firms, government agencies and multinational companies, both locally and regionally in association with international law firms based abroad. His portfolio also includes venture capital and private equity, particularly for investments into emerging information technology services companies.
In 2020, Brian was appointed as a contributor to the World Bank's World Development Index (WDI) as a subject matter expert on the area of privacy law.
