Chirag Jhaveri, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Retina Consultants of Austin. Dr. Jhaveri provides retinal surgery to patients in Austin, Lakeway, Marble Falls, and Round Rock, Texas. Dr. Jhaveri completed his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a part of an accelerated honors program. After graduating, he returned to his hometown in Houston and attended the Baylor College of Medicine. He later received internship training at the Emory University School of Medicine, as well as residency training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and the Ochsner Medical Center, where served as a chief resident during his senior year. He also participated in a fellowship, gaining invaluable experiences in rare retinal diseases. Dr. Jhaveri holds special interest in complex vitreoretinal diseases as well as common eye conditions like diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. As an integral member of the practice family since 2016, Dr. Jhaveri is proud to provide comprehensive eye care to patients at Retina Consultants of Austin. He also serves as vice chairman of the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research Network (DRCR). Dr. Jhaveri is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati.
