CMPP

CMPP is managed by a National Board chaired by the DHS Officer for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties and is comprised of nonprofits with experience providing and evaluating case management programs for asylees and refugees. The FY 2021 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Appropriations Act provided $5 million for a Case Management Pilot Program. CMPP will provide voluntary case management and other services to noncitizens in removal proceedings, including undocumented immigrants and asylum seekers.  CMPP services include, among others: mental health services; human and sex trafficking screening; legal orientation programs; cultural orientation programs; connections to social services; and departure planning and reintegration services for individuals returning to their home countries.
