The Cathcart Foundation was established in 2021 to honour the memory of Andrew Cathcart, MA, MEd. A teacher and headmaster, Andrew dedicated his life to helping educate children from lower socio-economic backgrounds. From his early days teaching in Salford to his later career running a thriving primary school in Yorkshire, Andrew fervently believed in education as a way of transmitting the social and cultural capital vital to raising aspirations and enhancing his students' lives...
