In the first phase of the project a mixed-method study is conducted, involving partner institutions in Finland, Norway, Portugal and Switzerland, to identify the radiographer challenges of mammography training and clinical practice. Based on the study results and literature reviews three open-access e-learning modules are prepared for health care staff working in the service chain of breast cancer detection. The first e-learning module focuses on early breast cancer detection and diagnostic procedures, targeted to nurses, radiographers, biomedical laboratory scientists and lecturers in the field. The second module focuses on breast screening, imaging and quality assurance competences for radiographers, and the third module on competences of further examinations and new imaging and laboratory methods for radiographers and biomedical laboratory scientists.
