His career started very early, writing software for local businesses when only 10 years old, designing interactive displays for Museums at 16 before attending university.
After completing a Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence degree at The University of Edinburgh, Tamlin successfully launched his own award-winning web-based solutions company, Mercurytide. This grew into one of the most well-regarded companies in the industry in Scotland before Tamlin created a spin-out, Bolt Learning, to focus on online learning.
Tamlin sold both these companies to private equity in 2019 and assisted with the acquisition of 2 further companies into the group which is one of the worlds leading online learning companies.
While Tamlin has wide-reaching experience over many areas of business management, and this experience is being put to good use throughout the business, his focus will be on the technical infrastructure with Stafffinders. The development of consultant supporting software that assists in every step of the recruitment process is one of the main projects Tamlin will be delivering over 2022, streamlining and automating the back-office processes within the business to ensure that Stafffinders remain leaders in the Scottish Recruitment industry.
