David has worked as an accountant for many years after graduating from Lancaster University, and qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 1989. He has acted as a personal tax adviser for a range of clients for over 30 years and has an extensive knowledge developed through continuous professional education. He enjoys meeting new clients and getting to understand their needs and advising them on the options available to them.
David is married to Jessie, and in his spare time he is a keen hillwalker, and enjoys travel.
Phil has worked in the Financial Services profession for over 18 years, starting his career with Pearl Assurance. Later in his career, as an Adviser, Phil specialised in pensions and later life planning. He has been a compliance consultant for over 4 years, currently with CATS (Compliance and Training Solutions).
Phil is qualified to level 4 Diploma.
In his spare time, Phil collects and plays a range of musical instruments having previously been a semi-pro musician. He is a member of MENSA and the Wine Society, enjoys reading and follows Crystal Palace and Tunbridge Wells FC.

Simon began his career in finance in 1990 after graduating from Kingston University. Simon gained considerable knowledge and expertise over 12 years whilst with Chase de Vere in London, meeting and looking after clients from all walks of life. After many years commuting to the City, Simon opted for a greener life and joined a Surrey based company. Five years on, a fortuitous meeting presented an opportunity to establish Shorestone, founded on combined knowledge, skills and considerable experience.
Simon holds the Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS). He also has specialist qualifications in Taxation and Trusts but is continually looking to develop his knowledge base through continuous professional development. With overseas clients, Simon has an interest in offshore investment planning helping ˜ex-pats ™ and UK residents alike.
Since Linda Simmons (Fellow Founding Partner) decided to retire, Simon is very pleased to welcome Ann onboard as a Shorestone Partner.
Simon is married to Louise and has two boys, Toby and Theo. Simon is a keen sportsman with a passion for skiing, snowboarding, paddle boarding, wake-boarding and motor sports. Simon also enjoys photography and gardening.

Sue has been involved with administration and PA work for private companies since 1975.
Sue ran her own business for 7 years employing over 70 staff and has also been involved with publishing, film and the NHS before finally settling in financial services in 2001.
When not at her desk, Sue is happiest on the move. Either on a tennis court, working out at a zumba dance class or keeping a power hoop moving. After being Chairman of a local tennis club, Sue now referees at junior tennis tournaments and is an independent custody visitor and an invigilator.
Sue is married with two grown up daughters who live in Reigate.
