Anna Stuart

Anna was elected as Vice Chairperson at the AGM in September 2020. Anna was previously the Chairperson and stood down at the AGM in August 2019 after serving for five years. She first became a member of the Association in September 1992. Anna is a vastly experienced board member who helped found Castlemilk East Co-op. Anna is a committed community activist who has worked hard towards the wider social and economic regeneration of Castlemilk. Anna's work is widely recognised throughout the housing sector:- Anna is also the Chair of Cassiltoun Trust and a Board Member of Cassiltoun Stables Nursery.

Barbara Dusik

Barbara joined the Board in August 2019 as a co-optee member and after the AGM in September 2020 became a full Board Member. Barbara has graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc in Geography. She is a tenant of the Association and an active volunteer, assisting at many of our community events. She is passionate about the local community.

Chris O'Brien

Chris was elected on to the Board of Management at the AGM in August 2019. He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Housing and a BA (Honours) in Social Sciences. He has worked in the housing sector for 10 years and is currently working in a Housing Association as a Customer Services Officer. He is interested in all aspects of Housing Association Management and Governance and wishes to develop his skills further.

Clair Malpas - CEO

Clair became Chief Executive on the 1st April 2019. She has worked at Cassiltoun since 2007 and became part of the SMT in 2013. Her early career was as a professional in the field of Welfare Rights. She set up and delivered Welfare Rights services for a number of Housing Association's across Scotland and is well known in the sector for her work on Welfare Reform mitigation. She is a leading expert in the field of Community Regeneration and since 2010 has had responsibility for delivering Cassiltoun's highly regarded Regeneration and Social Enterprise programme, which has attracted over £2 million in external funding and delivered a range of diverse and award winning projects as well as attracting visitors from across the globe. Clair has an ILM in Leadership and Management, a BA (Hons) in Economics from Lancaster University and a MPhil in Social Welfare Law from Leicester University. She is also a qualified Prince 2 practitioner, trained to deliver Social Returns on Investment (SROI) and a well known speaker at sector wide conferences.

Evelyn Ferguson

Evelyn has been a Board member for over 16 years. Evelyn was elected as Secretary after the AGM in September 2020. She first became a member of the Board in September 2002. Evelyn has a keen interest in customer service and regularly attends external and internal training and networking events.

Fiona McGowan - COO

Fiona McGowan became the Director of Operations in April 2013. She joined the Senior Management Team as Head of Operations in 2009, as a direct result of our growth after stock transfer. Fiona however originally joined the Cassiltoun Group in 2004 with the local housing organisation based at Cassiltoun Housing Association's office. Fiona is responsible for housing services, performance management, compliance and policy. She is a vastly experienced senior officer with 36 years service in housing and holds a Diploma in Housing Studies from Stirling University. Fiona also holds an ILM SCQF Level 9 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

George is a vastly experienced board member and holds the SQA qualification in "Governance of the Scottish Housing Association". George is employed in the retail sector in a supervisory capacity and educated to HNC level in Business Studies. George has a keen interest in finance and business planning.

Julie McNeil - Treasurer

Julie was elected as Treasurer after the AGM in September 2020. Julie joined the Board in October 2016 as a co-optee and following the AGM in August 2017 is now a full board member. Julie first became involved with the Association when she joined the tenants Estate Action Group to help improve the local environment. As a local resident of 30 years, Julie wanted to give something back to her community and by joining the Board has provided the opportunity to do so.

Kim McKee

Kim was co-opted onto the Board of Management at their meeting on 28th November 2018 and subsequently elected as Board Member at the AGM in August 2019. Kim has ten years experience in researching and teaching housing across four different academic institutions (Glasgow, Open University, St Andrews and Stirling). She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Stirling, teaching the Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Housing Studies, which is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing. Kim is a strong supporter of the CCHA model and has always been impressed by the community development and regeneration work Cassiltoun has been involved in.

Paula Brownlie

Paula joined Cassiltoun in 2011 and is responsible for human resources, governance support, Board and staff training and supports the CEO to ensure that the Association remains compliant. She joined the Senior Management Team in April 2013 as a result of a staff structure review. Paula has 27 years experience in the Housing Association sector operating mainly in HR and Corporate Services. Prior to this, Paula worked for 7 years with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. Paula holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Caledonian University. In March 2014, Paula successfully achieved the CIPFA : Certificate in Corporate Governance with Distinction. Paula also holds an ILM SCQF Level 9 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

Richard Sullivan

Richard was co-opted onto the Board of Management at their meeting on 28th November 2018 and subsequently was elected as Board member at the AGM in August 2019. Richard Sullivan has 25 years' experience in the third sector and 17 years' professional experience in the public and private sectors. His experience as a consultant and project manager across the sectors has developed an understanding and appreciation of the different pressures and structures within them and of the varying demands on management. His experience includes managing budgets ranging from £250k to £1.9 million, while monitoring financial policy and budgets for a multitude of clients as set against contractual agreements.

Teresa joined the Board of Cassiltoun (previously Castlemilk East Housing Co-operative) in 1996. She stepped down and rejoined the Board in September 2008. Teresa cares passionately about the local environment and property maintenance. Teresa previously worked as a dental nurse for 13 years and was in the Territorial Army for 10 years. Teresa remains committed to the community controlled housing movement and believes that tenants views must be heard.

William Craig

William was elected to join the Board of Management in August 2013. William is a long standing resident in Castlemilk and cares about his local environment. William is very involved in his local church and supports social inclusion. He is now retired after serving the city as a bus driver for 36 years. William has attended various training and development sessions to help improve his effectiveness as a local Board member.
