Marc Mann

Job Titles:
  • Senior Manager
Marc re-joined the LinksStep team as a Senior Manager in July 2021, having previously worked with us for 8 years as a consultant. He has also worked as an R&D Tax Manager within a leading accountancy firm. Marc has in-depth ‘hands-on' industry experience from a successful career spanning over 20 years across many different R&D environments, underpinned by a BSc in Product Design. As such, he brings a wealth of skills and experience to the LinkStep table - most notably from the field of engineering. Previous roles have included work across a number of different product design and manufacturing R&D environments, spanning a diverse range of industries - including automotive, industrial mechanical/structural, lighting, audio-visual and renewables. "I am very excited to be back at LinkStep. Having worked with various business types and sizes (small family set-ups to large multinational corporates), it is rare to meet a team so passionate about the work they do and that support and complement each other's knowledge and skillsets so well. LinkStep take great pride in offering a highly professional service with a personal touch - often lost by wider accountancy firms and boutiques. This is recognised by the loyalty of LinkStep's clients, and crystalised by the way the business has grown predominantly through recommendations and word of mouth rather than marketing and sales. At LinkStep, you are dealing with an experienced R&D Tax professional who will understand the technicalities of the work you are claiming for. The company has a strong history of robust, defendable claim submissions with a 100% success rate. Where HMRC have questioned a claim, the LinkStep approach has ensured fast and efficient results, rather than prolonged enquiries with unexpected surprises. Despite what some might say, no R&D Tax claim is immune from HMRC interrogation, and you want to be confident that you will be appropriately supported throughout the entire claim process - that is what LinkStep is about!" Outside of work, Marc likes to keep active, enjoying vehicle restoration and DIY, car and motorcycle trackdays, and is a keen cyclist.
