Carolyn Maddox joined Next Wave Partners in 2010 and was Chief Operating Officer until 2020 on stepping down to become an Adviser to the firm.
Carolyn Maddox has many years' experience in private equity. She was an Executive Director of Bridges Fund Management from its inception in 2002 to April 2010. She started her career as a strategy consultant with the LEK Partnership and then moved to 3i Group plc working as an Investment Controller. She joined Causeway Capital in 1990 and became a Director of Causeway and then of ABN Amro Private Equity (UK) Ltd where, over ten years, she worked on a wide range of transactions.
She is an Associate and on the Advisory Board of Leader's Quest, a global organisation working with leaders across business, government and civil society who want to contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive world. She is also a Trustee of the Leader's Quest Foundation, which empowers grassroots leaders in India.
She is a graduate of Cambridge University with an MA in History.
Oliver Hemsley has had a highly successful career, most recently as the Founder and CEO of Numis Securities which began trading in 1989. Oliver grew Numis to become one of the leading brokers and advisers to UK listed companies with offices in London and New York, over 200 employees and a market capitalisation of over £270 million
Oliver advises Next Wave Partners on strategic issues and contributes his expertise and insights with respect to target investment markets and business sectors relevant to Next Wave's focus. Oliver first worked with Next Wave when Numis acted as an adviser to its portfolio company, Petainer.
