Midland Tyre Shaving's first foray into motorsport was in the MX5 MK1 Championship which, at the time, most drivers had tyres cut on the Amermac 720 machine. Within four Championship rounds, Midland's first unique profiled tyre had total domination in this highly competitive paddock. In the next two seasons other drivers/formulas came knocking. More unique profiles were designed and, subsequently, our customers were extremely successful.
