The Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust (ELGT) is dedicated to improving the quality of life for our communities by re-connecting people with their local green spaces... ELGT aims to engage with communities and partners to enable greenspaces to be more accessible, climate resilient and biodiverse... In 2006, the Trust changed its name to become the Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust (ELGT). While the Trust continues to care for the landscape and heritage of the green belt countryside, we also work to create and improve other urban greenspaces such as woodlands, community gardens, parks, play areas, school grounds and cycle paths.
