We are a community led organisation and were established to provide grants for local groups and organisations in the Fort Augustus and Glenmoriston community council area... The Fort Augustus & Glenmoriston Community Company was established by the Community Council in 2007 as the approved body to receive and distribute community benefit to the Fort Augustus and Glenmoriston area as mandated by the Community... Since 2014 we have also been involved in running the Community Caretakers for both Fort Augustus and Glenmoriston as well as looking after the cemeteries in Fort Augustus and more recently Dalchreichart too. The Company are one of only two communities who successfully secured the Community Challenge award (an award offered to communities who felt they could give a better service for the same amount of money as the Council). We get paid £28K from Highland Council to run this and spend £94k from our funds on it. We employ 3 staff all year and 2 seasonal staff members, one of whom..
