ORIGIN ASSET MANAGEMENT - Key Persons
Ben joined Origin in June 2023 as an Investment Analyst. Prior to joining, Ben co-managed a global equity strategy between 2010 and 2022, initially at Dalton Strategic Partnership and latterly at Polar Capital following its acquisition of Dalton in 2021. At Dalton Ben was also responsible for risk management across the firm from 2018 onwards. Ben is a graduate of St Edmund Hall, Oxford, with a Masters Honours in Chemistry, and is a CFA charterholder.
Chris is a Founding Partner of Origin Asset Management. He was previously a senior investment manager at Investec Asset Management, where he was one of the architects of the company's investment process and managed global equity and balanced portfolios. Prior to joining Investec, he was head of the Global Investment Strategy team at UBS. Chris has also held senior global equity portfolio management positions at CIGNA International and at Worldinvest (now New Star). Chris is a graduate of Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, with an MA Honours Degree in Economics and Philosophy.

Helen is Finance Executive at Origin Asset Management having joined in 2009. Her previous roles include working in the Pension Fund administration team at Henderson Administration Limited and as Finance Assistant at IAI International Limited. Most recently she was Human Resources Manager at Swiss private bank Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch in London.
Joseph joined Origin during September 2022 as a Middle Office Executive within Investment Operations. Prior to joining Origin, he worked in Equities Trading Services within the Synthetic Products Group at Goldman Sachs. Joseph has a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Finance from the University of York

Kunal Shah joined Origin in June 2018 as Assistant Manager Investment Operations. Kunal has over 12 years of experience in Operations, most recently as Operations Associate at Pyrford International Limited. Prior to joining Pyrford, Kunal was Middle-office associate at ACPI Investments Limited and prior to that, Operations Manager at Sun Global Investments Limited. Kunal holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University where he majored in Financial and Economic studies. Kunal has also completed his MBA in Business Finance Management from University of Liverpool.

Maria joined Origin Asset Management in 2017. She joined from T Rowe Price where she was a Consultant Support Analyst. Previously she was with AXA Investment Managers as a consultant database manager. Maria holds a Masters in Management from ESCP Europe and a BA in International Economics & Management from Luigi Bocconi University in Milan.
Nerys returned to Origin after a three-year gap in July 2019. Prior to that, she had been with the firm between 2008 and 2016 and prior to joining Origin, Nerys worked at Investec Asset Management where she was a member of the Global Equity team. She was also responsible for investment support and analytics. Before this, Nerys was an Analyst at Client Knowledge, a financial market research and consultancy company. Nerys is a graduate of Leicester University with a BA Honours Degree in Ancient History & Archaeology.

Nishil is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Origin Asset Management with primary responsibility for business infrastructure, operations, finance and compliance. He joined Origin in November 2017. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1999. Before joining Origin, Nishil was a Director and Deputy COO of London-based asset manager, Heptagon Capital LLP. Previously, Nishil worked as a Board Member and COO for UK-based asset manager, Quality Capital Management Ltd. Previous roles include Financial Controller at Legal and General Investment Management and Finance Manager for a London based family office. Nishil is a fellow member of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and completed an Executive MBA from Cranfield School of Management. He has also completed the CFO Management Program at Wharton. Nishil is a graduate of Loughborough University with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.

Paul is Origin's Asset Management's Investment Administration Manager and joined in 2007. He is an experienced operations professional with over 19 years experience in global investment management. His previous roles include Overseas Investment Administrator at United Friendly Asset Management (now Royal London Asset Management), Senior Investment Administrator at Swiss private bank Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch in London and Investment Administrator at UBS Global Asset Management. Most recently he was Senior Associate of Portfolio Management at Investment Manager Selection.
Rhia joined Origin Asset Management in February 2022 as a Compliance Associate. Prior to her joining Origin she worked at Canada Life Asset Management as a Business Unit Compliance Officer and prior to that J. Stern & Co. LLP, a private wealth management firm, as a Compliance Manager. Rhia obtained a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry at the University of Bath and an MRes in Medical Imaging at Imperial College London. Rhia holds the Unit 1 and Unit 2 CFA Investment Management Certificates. Rhia is currently studying law at BPP University.

Ruairi joined Origin Asset Management in November 2022 as an Investment Team Assistant. Prior to joining Origin, he worked at Polar Capital as a Product Management Executive. Ruairi obtained a First Class honours in BSc Economics from the University of Nottingham and holds the Unit 1 and Unit 2 CFA Investment Management Certificates. Ruairi is currently a CFA Level 1 candidate.
Tarlock is a Partner of Origin Asset Management. Before joining Origin in 2005, Tarlock worked at Investec Asset Management where he was one of the architects of the company's investment process and was a member of the Global Equity team. He also managed a number of charitable foundation portfolios. Prior to joining Investec, he trained as a general insurance actuary with PwC. Tarlock is a graduate of Brunel University with a BSc Joint Honours Degree in Mathematics & Management.
