Glasgow Independent Studio (GIS) is based at Trongate 103 in Glasgow city centre. The organisation has two main functions; to provide affordable studios for artists and to offer space for exhibitions and projects (in Glasgow Project Room)... Glasgow Independent Studio is a not-for-profit charity providing studio spaces for over 60 local artists... Glasgow Independent Studio was founded in 1995, and originally located on Parnie Street. The studio members started Glasgow Project Room two years later, a space dedicated to the exhibition and development of artists' work. In 2009 we relocated to the purpose built Trongate 103 complex.
