JTP - Key Persons

Adam Bowie

Job Titles:
  • Associate
As an Associate and Graphic Designer, Adam plays a key role in embedding narrative placemaking across our projects and the stewardship of JTP's brand. He is responsible for the creative leadership and management of the Graphics team. Adam has extensive experience of coordinating and designing complex submissions and supporting visual collateral that shape our visions. His strengths lie in developing strong, meaningful, creative ideas with a strategic focus that add value, conveying the ambition, identity and uniqueness of our places. Working closely with the Communications and Graphics teams, he brings to life these stories through place branding, graphic design and illustration. Adam has been involved in numerous design charrettes and has participated in community planning events throughout the UK and internationally, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the collective vision of a project. His experience and passion for design, paired with this holistic approach ensures that each project has a distinctive look that feels right. Aside from his work on bids, Adam has work on a number of projects including The Green Quarter, Oaks in Prague, Brunel Street Works and JTP's own studio, Pennington Street Warehouse.

Adam Creswell

Job Titles:
  • Associate
Since joining JTP, Adam has been involved in a wide range of residential and mixed-use projects focusing primarily on estate regeneration and the reuse of brownfield land. Adam was the Project Architect for New Green, located in Rainham, which was delivered through a joint venture between Wates Residential and London Borough of Havering. The project replaces two poor quality 13-storey tower blocks, with an integrated new community formed of mid-rise, high-density buildings, arranged around new open spaces and public realm. Adam also worked on Albion Waterside in Gravesend, a vibrant new community of up to 1,500 new homes, alongside landscaped open space and valuable new amenities. The project is defined through the green and blue landscape by utilising the site's existing assets including the River Thames frontage, the Embankment Marina, the historic route of Albion Parade, and the former alignment of the Thames and Medway Canal. The architecture responds to the historical maritime vernacular of the site by providing a diverse collection of buildings that utilise a carefully selected material and detail palette. Other projects include a mid-rise development adjacent to a sensitive Grade II listed park, replacing vacant light industrial buildings on the site with sensitive borders and boundaries, as well as a suburban build-to-rent housing scheme in Milton Keynes, that deals with density in a more urban style whilst allowing a strong landscape vision to be at the forefront of the development. Adam strongly believes that JTP's ethos of understanding, engaging and creating establishes strong foundations for design that not only produces interesting and responsive architecture, but places that are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable. He is currently working on proposals for a scheme located close to Kingston Station, utilising typologies that maximise residential quality placed within the context of extensive new public realm.

Astrid's motto is to ‘Learn. Explore. Innovate. Inspire. Repeat'. She thoroughly enjoys urban research and sharing knowledge, and as an Urban Designer at JTP, Astrid has undertaken numerous collaborative studies to learn how to design more sustainably, including a street width study. This study highlights how narrower streets can help maximise land and minimise embodied carbon across a neighbourhood. Additionally, Astrid has worked with the team on multiple exciting projects including Worcestershire Parkway - a ‘town centre first' new settlement allocated for up to 10,000 homes and diverse employment opportunities, developed over 30 years on a phased basis. Astrid enjoys considering how the landscape and our lifestyles will evolve in the future, and consequently how the design of masterplans such as that of Worcestershire Parkway can be adapted over time to accommodate these inevitable changes. Prior to her professional career, Astrid was acknowledged as the Top Performing Student during her Town Planning studies at Cardiff University, before achieving a Distinction in Urban Design where she discovered her true passion in creative placemaking and sustainable urban regeneration. Beyond her professional career, Astrid is enthusiastic about exploring new places and understanding diverse cultures and architectural design around the world. She loves to capture these moments through photography and 3-second films.

  • Senior Architect
An Associate at JTP, Dave has over 20 years' experience in architectural practice, with projects covering public and private residential, student, commercial, leisure, office and hospitality, including many mixed-use schemes. He has extensive expertise with high-density urban regeneration projects and the associated technical and placemaking challenges they pose. These are often on difficult and constrained sites and range from feasibility and capacity studies to detailed planning applications. As such, Dave is part of the Quality Control and Risk Management group within JTP, which monitors changing regulations and guidance within the industry. Whilst at JTP, Dave has worked across a number of projects which have successfully achieved planning approval. These include Ferrum forming a new gateway building fronting a major new public square on the approach to Wembley Stadium; Brunel Street Works which features a collection of high-density buildings, delivering a multi-tenure development on a complex and constrained site alongside the DLR in Canning Town; a new urban extension at Marleigh Phase 2 on the eastern edge of Cambridge integrating town and countryside; the transformation of redundant industrial land into a high-density, new neighbourhood at Cheshunt Laekside on the edge of a Country Park. Most recently, he has been responsible for the submission of Devonshire Place, a detailed planning application on an underused, brownfield site on the Old Kent Road in Southwark. The proposals deliver 200 new affordable homes, alongside 941 student bedrooms, student ancillary spaces and active ground-floor commercial uses. Away from the office, Dave likes to travel and is a keen triathlete. He is part of JTP's Health & Wellbeing group, champions cycle-friendly design and also set up the JTP running club - Collaborative Pacemaking. After joining the company as an Architectural Assistant following his graduation from Kingston University, Bradlee is now a Senior Architect at JTP. Throughout his education, Bradlee has developed an interest in exploring the relationship of the built form to urban context, with a particular focus on the design development of residential projects. Currently, he is assisting with the completion of large-scale residential projects from inception to planning application. Projects he is currently involved with include Spurgeon's College, a low-density residential scheme in Croydon; the redevelopment of Lodge Lane car park, which will provide a new centre for North Finchley, and will deliver more than 100 homes along with mixed uses; as well as various feasibility studies. Bradlee is an experienced Revit user and is involved in developing the practice's expanding use of BIM as a collaborative design tool to prepare planning submissions. Away from the office, Bradlee is a keen sportsman and particularly enjoys football and Formula 1.

BA (Hons) MArch

Job Titles:
  • Architect
  • Architectural Assistant
Dan originally joined JTP as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant after completing his bachelors at the University of Kent, before returning to the practice as a Part 2 following his Masters at the University of Bath. In his time at JTP, Dan has worked on a number of successful planning applications in the Greater London Area and throughout Sussex and Kent at a range of scales. His main body of experience lies in higher density urban schemes on complex and challenging sites within West and south London. Dan has also played a key role in delivering bids that have secured new work for the practice. One of his key interests is the role of narrative and storytelling in creating successful and sustainable places that form interesting and contextual responses to a site and its history. This interest was a key driver in his Master's thesis project which sought to employ the history of a complex site to truly embed the scheme within its past, present and future contexts. This passion continues to be a design driver of his at JTP. Outside of work Dan enjoys sketching and digital illustration, as well as keeping active and his newfound love of yoga. Oliver joined JTP in 2019 after graduating with a Master of Architecture from the Welsh School of Architecture. His projects include Goldsworth Road in Woking - a mixed-use town centre regeneration project which proposes to deliver 965 new homes and a reimagined public realm. Oliver has experience in delivering both residential and commercial projects, working at feasibility and detailed design stages. Oliver has a keen interest in community development and narratives, looking to champion value through architectural quality and detail. His Masters project focussed on the regeneration of post-industrial communities by harnessing the film industry as a catalyst for social enterprise. Since joining JTP Oliver has become involved in a number of community events, including engagement workshops with the local residents of Grays (Thurrock, Essex) and design workshops with secondary school children at The Kingston Academy. Outside the office, Oliver can be found mainly in the kitchen as an experimental baker - with limited success. He also enjoys running, travelling and the cinema.
