Amy Cole

Amy joined the Rouse team in 2015 and is an Audit and Accounts Manager. In this role, Amy delivers audit and assurance services for clients. Joining our team as a university graduate, Amy progressed through our training programme to complete her ACA qualification and become Audit and Accounts Manager. Her role is primarily focused on audit and assurance services, and she has also gained experience in accounts preparation and financial reporting. Amy works across a range of audit clients, including UK subsidiaries of international groups and owner managed businesses. Whilst she covers a wide spectrum of industries, Amy has gained particular experience in the manufacturing and construction sectors, including project work and long-term contracts.

Anne Child

Anne, as Tax Consultant, provides a range of tax advisory services at Rouse Partners. Anne has extensive experience in trust and estate accounting, capital gains taxation, tax planning and all aspects of tax investigations. Anne is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has always worked in private practice. Anne was Tax Partner in Rouse & Co from 1988 to 2006 and at Rouse Partners LLP from 2010 until March 2017 when she retired and now works on a consultancy basis.

Carolyn Robson

Carolyn has been with Rouse Partners for more than 12 years, having joined us as an AAT trainee in 2010. Since completing her ACA qualification, she has progressed to Director of Audit & Accounts. She has extensive experience in dealing with the demands of a wide spectrum of businesses, from SMEs through to UK subsidiaries and large international group consolidations. In her role, Carolyn deals with all elements of statutory audit, accounts preparation and financial statements compliance. She is also responsible for the day to day client contact and ensuring an excellent service delivery. Carolyn's diverse portfolio of clients includes businesses from industries such as manufacturing, travel and recycling/waste management, across which she has a detailed knowledge and understanding.

David Sharp

David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991. He manages an extensive client portfolio of all sizes across a wide range of sectors, dealing with both audit and accountancy. Specialising in the construction industry, David focuses on large joint ventures, building and outsourcing projects as well as dealing with CIS issues. He also provides commentary and analysis for our annual construction report which is sent to clients. Heading up our outsourcing team, David advises clients on setting up and optimising accounting systems. David has a strong knowledge of cloud accounting systems including Xero and Sage, and he and his team have assisted clients with their Making Tax Digital preparations to ensure they are fully compliant. Outside of work, David is married with two boys and enjoys sports including football and cricket, for which he is a member of the historic Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) at Lords.

David Taylor

David has been with Rouse for 7 years, having joined as an ICAEW trainee on our Graduate Programme in 2016. Since completing his ACA qualification, he has progressed to Assistant Audit and Accounts Manager and supports a portfolio of SME's, large corporates and overseas groups. David's role is predominantly audit focused, providing services including statutory and non-statutory audits, group reporting / consolidations and assurance assignments. He also prepares statutory financial statements and year-end accounts. David is a line manager to junior team members and actively contributes in their formal training sessions. He is ACA qualified and holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Reading University. David's portfolio of clients includes those across a variety of industry sectors, but with a particular focus on technology, construction, manufacturing and food/drink production.

Emily Colbourne

Emily joined Rouse Partners in early 2015 having progressed her career through mid-tier practices and completing her training with Menzies LLP. She is experienced in business strategy, accounts, audit, tax and company secretarial services. Emily enjoys learning and understanding the client's businesses, and achieves great satisfaction from seeing clients develop and grow, assisted by her proactive involvement. She is extremely client focused and is the primary point of contact for her clients for queries covering all aspects of their business life cycle. Emily has a wealth of experience dealing with multinational businesses and international groups, and their tight reporting timescales, leading many teams in the preparation and audit of accounts. Her portfolio of clients includes businesses from industries including construction, air conditioning, robotics, IT / Technology, publishing / literary and luxury goods.

Hannah Rance

Hannah joined our team in 2020 and as Assistant Manager she delivers audit and accountancy services to a portfolio of clients. Specialising in audit services, consolidation preparation, and group reporting, Hannah offers clients a core suite of assurance services and support. Her clients feature those in a range of industries, including manufacturing, technology/security, food production, and logistics. In 2023 Hannah completed her studies and became ACA qualified. In recognition of her outstanding work and dedication, she was awarded the prestigious First Intuition ‘Apprentice of the Year' award. The accolade is presented by this national education provider each year to an apprentice who has demonstrated exceptional commitment, promising potential, and remarkable accomplishments, going above and beyond in their roles. Hannah thrives on problem solving, leveraging her analytical background in science and STEM. Armed with a Masters in Chemistry (MChem), she brings a unique perspective to the audit process, ensuring a meticulous examination of financial data. Her journey at Rouse has not only been marked by professional excellence but also by a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development, as she supports our next group of apprentices progressing through the ranks.

Jakub Mikosza

Jakub joined our team in 2021 and is Assistant Outsource Manager. In this role, he delivers management accounts and reporting services to clients, as well as advising on and implementing cloud accounting systems. Jakub is an experienced user of Xero, QuickBooks and Sage accounting systems. He uses his knowledge in this area to advise clients on process automation, business systems integration and improved effectiveness of accounting systems. He brings strong analytical and numerical skills, together with commercial understanding to his work. This allows him to build bespoke management reporting for clients and to advise on the KPI's and metrics to help management and finance teams assess their business performance. He also provides VAT preparation / submission services. Jakub's experience spans a range of industries sectors, with a strong focus in hospitality, construction, ecommerce and international freight services (such as shipping and HGV). With a keen interest in AI, technology and software, Jakub is also responsible for researching, testing and selecting new applications that we can introduce to our team and clients to drive business efficiency and productivity.

James Hemmings

He has extensive experience in assisting a wide spectrum of businesses, including international groups, UK subsidiaries and owner-managed businesses. In his role, James provides a full range of audit and accounts services for clients. He also has a solid grounding in personal tax and bookkeeping, having previously held positions within the respective teams at Rouse, giving him a well-rounded skill set. James' portfolio of clients includes businesses from industries such as manufacturing, IT, financial services, investment funds and not for profits. He also works on a number of trust accounts.

Jo Lovatt

Jo has over 20 years of experience focusing on audit and business advisory, from small SME clients to AIM listed corporates. Having trained at a smaller practice, Jo spent over 15 years at BDO LLP, working within their specialist audit departments for property, retail, manufacturing and construction clients. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds an Audit Responsible Individual (RI) license, allowing her to develop strong relationships with clients by providing audit and accounting services alongside strategic, corporate and tax planning advice. Jo enjoys working with growing family owned businesses in all sectors but with particular emphasis on property, construction, retail and e-commerce based businesses.

Jo Rayment

Jo joined Rouse in 2022 as Payroll Administrator with more than 25 years' experience in client-facing, account management roles. She spent a majority of her early career in project and account management positions within the entertainment industry, including film, music and video games companies, such as Mattel Toys. Before joining our team in 2022, Jo spent 6 years in the payroll team of a regional accountancy firm where she was responsible for managing monthly, quarterly and annual payrolls for a portfolio of clients. Jo has gained payroll experience in industry sectors including construction, TV broadcast, professional services and hospitality.

Kirsty Hatch

Kirsty joined Rouse in 2021 as Senior Payroll Administrator with 30 years' experience in payroll services. Spending the first 11 years of her payroll career at recruitment agency Manpower, Kirsty was responsible for looking after their permanent staff payroll for approximately 1,200 staff. She then joined a company where she looked after the payroll for approximately 60 pubs and restaurants, before moving into practice with 13 years as a payroll supervisor at RSM, Oury Clark and then joining our payroll team. At Rouse, Kirsty looks after clients with varied payroll sizes and frequencies. She has significant experience across the full range of payroll responsibilities including pension auto-enrolment, statutory payments, manual calculations (Tax / NI / Pension) and BACS. In an ever-changing payroll and legislative world, Kirsty focuses on keeping up to date with all payroll developments and offering a high level of client service.

Leighton Bower - CEO

Leighton is Managing Partner at Rouse Partners and supports a wide-ranging client portfolio. He also specialises in business advisory and corporate finance work. Leighton joined the Rouse team in 2006, as a Partner and then became our Managing Partner in 2021. Before this, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a medium size firm based in London before moving to specialise in corporate tax with Ernst & Young. During this period he qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Taxation. Working within their Entrepreneurial Services Department he gained a broad experience across the SME and AIM markets. Leighton has a particular focus on the recruitment, hospitality and manufacturing sectors where he can provide clients with added support and guidance. In addition, as our advisory and strategic planning partner, Leighton specialises in corporate finance and assisting clients on all forms of mergers & acquisition activity, including company disposals and management buy-outs.

Linda Dale

Linda has been a valued member of Rouse for more than 12 years. Originally joining Rouse as a member of our Reception team, Linda has become an integral part of our Payroll team. Linda provides a reliable, responsive service to businesses on a range of payroll needs. She also brings a high level of client service and an approachable manner to her role as Payroll Administrator. Her skills include payroll processing (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly and yearly), making Bacs payments, setting up pension auto-enrolment and more.

Having held previous management positions in mid-tier practice, Michelle has worked with a variety of companies. She has also gained valuable experience in VAT, management accounts, reporting and bookkeeping. She is ACCA qualified and has a BSc in Accountancy and Finance from Warwick University. Michelle supports clients across a range of industry sectors, including consultancy, construction, hospitality, retail and owner managed businesses. She takes pride in getting to know her clients and offering a friendly and responsive service.

Miles Parker

Nicola joined our team in 2018 and as Assistant Manager she delivers audit and accountancy services to a portfolio of clients. Her client portfolio of corporate groups in the main, covers a range of industries, including luxury goods, construction, IT / Technology, travel and manufacturing. Nicola is ACA qualified and holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance, which provides a solid foundation to her practical experience. Nicola strength is not only her industry awareness, but also her passion for numbers. With a meticulous approach and attention to detail, she ensures accuracy and precision in her work. Nicola doesn't just excel on the analytical side; but also brings a vibrant personality to the team, and she particularly enjoys the client facing element of her role. Beyond her day-to-day activities, Nicola takes pride in contributing to the growth and development of our juniors, providing training and coaching to help them progress in their audit careers. Oscar Wingham

Oscar joined the Rouse Partners team from Deloitte and heads our tax department. In this role he is primarily involved with providing advice on tax structuring, planning and compliance services to entrepreneurs and their businesses. Oscar is also Chairman of the Praxity UK Tax Working Party, a forum of tax practitioners within Praxity, the world's largest alliance of independent accounting firms. Beginning his career as an auditor, Oscar progressed into tax, where he specialised in tax planning for more than fifteen years. His deep tax technical knowledge, together with the business experience gained as an auditor, has given him a unique set of skills to provide pragmatic, commercial tax advice across a wide range of sectors. He is both a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Oscar has particular expertise in advising on the shareholders and company tax implications of corporate transactions, for example management buy-outs, trade sales and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Oscar advises on international tax aspects for UK inbound investment and transaction services.

Paul Brannan

Paul has more than 30 years experience in accountancy and bookkeeping, from a management as well as hands-on perspective. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and assists clients across a wide spectrum of industries, notably recruitment and hospitality. He manages our outsourcing team who support our clients with their processing and reporting needs, providing an efficient, accurate and seamless service. The team are experienced and certified with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, and keep up to date on developments and apps through regular training. They also produce bespoke management reports to assist clients with decision making and running their business. Paul provides a personable approach to his work, priding himself on attention to detail and helping clients to discover more efficient ways of running their business.

Rachael Bonner

Rachael joined the Rouse team in 2019 as a Personal Tax Manager bringing with her more than 10 years of experience in tax. After studying law and history at college, Rachael pursued a career in tax and is a qualified ATT and CTA tax advisor. She has since held positions for a variety of firms including a celebrity boutique firm and Crowe UK where she became a tax manager and department manager in 2015. Her client portfolio has included owner-managed businesses and some of the UK's most high net worth individuals. Recognised for her excellent client service, Rachael specialises in providing compliance and advisory services on a wide range of personal tax areas including residency/domicile issues and the Statutory Residence Test, inheritance tax planning, pensions and capital gains tax. She is particularly passionate about inheritance tax planning and ran her own successful campaign for this service at her previous firm.

Ula Namyslowska

Ula joined Rouse Partners in 2018 and heads up our Payroll team. Her experience spans over 5 years, including in-house payroll and supporting businesses ranging from SMEs to large corporates. Ula's role includes the day to day running of the various frequency payrolls, calculating statutory payments and setting up pension auto-enrolment. As Payroll Manager, Ula supports clients with HMRC queries and makes sure they are up to date with any legislative changes. Leading our payroll department, she also supports the team to provide a high quality and responsive client service.
