BADAR ZAMAN

Badar joined Walkers in March 2015 as a Commercial Property Paralegal after working as a Legal Advisor at a Leeds firm. He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a First in Law and has gained a distinction in the LPC from BPP Law School in Leeds. Badar began his training contract with Walkers in April 2016, he qualified in October 2017 into the Commercial Property department.

CAROLINE HARROW

Caroline joined our firm in March 2016 as our office administrator and subsequently worked in a paralegal role providing legal and administrative support. She began her training contract with us in April 2018 and she qualified as a solicitor in October 2019. Caroline received a distinction in her LPC in July 2016 from the University of Law after gaining her Graduate Diploma in Law in June 2015 and graduating with a First in Classical Studies from the University of Liverpool.

CHARLES WALKER - Founder

Charles is the founding director of Walkers, having set up as a sole practitioner in 2008. This followed a lengthy and illustrious career in silver circle and major City firms in London, fostering his wide ranging experience in litigation, company, corporate, media and intellectual property law. Charles has acted for household names and major international operations throughout his career, and has had several cases appear in the White Book whilst in London. Some of Charles early career highlights have been during handling complex litigation in the High Court during his time as an articled clerk.

EMILY FARRELL

Emily graduated from York St John University in 2010 with a First Class Honours degree in Media (BA Hons). She has extensive experience of working within the business and healthcare sector. Emily joined our firm in March 2011 handling all administrative matters and Emily's role in the office now encompasses a wide range of managerial, operational and strategic business responsibilities.

RUTH COCKSHOTT

Ruth joined Walkers in 2013, having qualified in 2010 and worked at a large full-service regional law firm in Leeds for 7 years. As a commercial litigation solicitor, Ruth has experience in dealing with a broad range of commercial disputes, from professional negligence and intellectual property infringement to insolvency and seeking to enforce entitlements under contract - her particular areas of interest are complex contractual claims and shareholder/partnership litigation. Ruth can advise in relation to a dispute at any stage - be it pre-action, once proceedings are underway or to help enforce a judgment. Equally, Ruth is adept at dealing with alternative forms of dispute resolution (such as adjudication and arbitration) as well as civil court proceedings. Ruth's focus is very much on the ‘end goal' and she prides herself on working closely with her clients so that she can understand their business and strategically work towards a commercial, cost-effective outcome.
