ecoTravel Africa was established in a bid to offer a true ecotourism experience for those wishing to visit Africa. We have witnessed, and have personal experience of, far too many companies claiming to be eco-friendly but falling short. In reality with little regulation within the industry, it's been too easy for companies to claim to be eco-friendly with very few credentials to back up these claims... As well as being a founder of the company Joanna runs ecoTravel Africa on a day to day basis. She has travelled extensively around the world and has spent a large amount of time in Africa. In addition to a passion for travel Joanna is also a conservation scientist with a background working with and running conservation and development projects around the world.
